A report read in The News of The World that Xabi has decided to stay at least 1 more year at the club, it also said that Xabi was convinced to stay at the club after he re-joined his team-mates in Vienna. But, it reports that Xabi and Rafa have a very cold relationship and haven’t spoke much since the end of last season, so nothing is done until the two meet and talk. It says that if Xabi travels with the team to Thailand then he is definitely staying.

Cold relationship or not, if Xabi is staying, all it takes is a teddy bear hug from Rafa, and they’ll both weep. Then at the end of the season, if we win the title, it’ll be similar to Stevie’s comments from 05, “How can I leave on a night like this?”
