Liverpool vs Aston Villa

The Reds welcome Villa to Anfield on Monday evening.

We did trash Villa 5-0 in the same fixture last season however I do not think the scoreline is going to be as huge. Villa however are a weaker side than they were last season and are currently struggling to get back their form after losing Gareth Barry to Manchester City.

Some Liverpool supporters did express their concern that we have been unlucky on Mondays. The Reds have drawn all of their last three games played on a Monday evening – all at Anfield including a 2-2 stalemate against Villa in January 2008.

With Skrtel & Agger still injured Sotirios Kygiakos is expected to make it debut for the Reds, he will partner Carra in the central defense. If this pair-up succeeds Carra might think of introducing Gyros in his restaurant.

Fabio Aurelio might also feature after returning from injury.

Kick off is at 8 PM UK Time.

Come on Reds, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK – 3 points 3 points 3 points.
