Miserable Autumn

Posted by

For the first time since 1987 Liverpool have lost 4 games in a row, I just do not know what to say.

To makes matters even worse we exceeded our Twitter limitations so we could not even give any more updates the final score ended  Liverpool 1 – Lyon 2.

We looked very good going into half time, we were leading 1-0 and even with Gerrard having to leave after 20 mins it looked like our misery was over. Then Lyon tied up the game in the second half and finally got the winner in injury time.

I wish I could put a grasp on what happened to our Liverpool but I just can not figure it out. There of course are the injuries but something else is missing.

As to the Champions League situation we are now exactly were we were 2 years ago we now need to win all 3 remaining games.

I hate to say it but I do not know what Rafa’s future is going to be as everyone seems to be asking for his head.

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.

  1. Thought we just didn’t take our chances when they presented themselves, and paid for just scoring the one. To be fair their keeper made an outstanding save from Aurelio. When they scored, we found it difficult to pick ourselves up. These things happen, hopefully this is our bad patch out of the way.Only plus of the night was Kelly.

  2. kelly was doing very good!
    too bad he’s injured..

    remember the ucl 2005!
we’re desperate to qualified from knockout stage, but finally we did won it instead!

    so believe in RED!!
    YNWA!!

  3. I really can’t see how Rafa’s going to stop the rot. The defence is fragile; the midfield bar Mascherano is poor; the attack totally dependent on Torres. That’s not good management. The season’s falling apart and if unchecked Liverpool could become the new Leeds United within a year.

  4. I dont think its a bad spell, its just the team is far too reliant on a small number of players (Torres and Gerrard). Without them we are a top 10 club at best and that shows. Our midfield is poor, we have limited attacking options and something isnt right at the back. Our young players for whatever reason cant step up to the mark, Ngog, Elzar, babel, lucas all need to go, dont get me started on Voronin.

    I fear for 4th place.

  5. Agree wit u irfaanfr. Ngog had 2 clear chances in which he cld have done better with at least one of them, so did aurelio. Not slagging them off because they could have gone in another day. It’s just not happening 4us at the moment and those calling 4a new manager don’t realise he wouldn’t make a difference as long as those two clowns are in charge. Just hope the manc game gives everyone a lift to go on, this storm will pass… But if Gillet learned anything today (doubt that), I hope he’s seen the effect (in the few minutes gerrard played) a special player or two can have on the team. Rafa’s always been asking for such players, hopefully Aquilani can make a difference but I don’t think it’ll be enough. Keep the faith lads!!

  6. gutted. but very predictable, bring on Manure, and will 5th lost in a roll, and thats when we’ll know if Rafa will be still LFC manager
