Special thumbs up to Aurelio,for helping Insua and giving us some good options going forward. Also good to see Carra throwing his body in the path of boots and ball, that’s more like it. the key to win this match was the defence. manutd had many dificulties to get the ball and thats a huge merit of the defensive work of the whole team.
but im still worried about the subs.
the absence of gerrard was felt on the way the ball was delivered to the forwards. yes, there were many chances and benayoun managed to give the lethal touch for torres to score, but the attack didn’t have the determination we know this squad regulary has. to many doubts at the time to score…
cant wait for aquilani to step in and see what happens.
also im happy for Ngog and all.. but just like v.s lyon he is still uncapable to hold his position when being marked. he either falls down or rebounds the pass. babel or even voronin are superior in that area.
finally, lucas.. i still dont understand if he is there to hepl mascherano or to deliver the ball to torres or both.. i dont know.. he always looks like he is improvising.
