Unless you have been living under a rock the past week, the fact that Liverpool is under a pressure that we haven’t seen in years, shouldn’t be far from your mind. And whatever your problems with Rafa might be, this cannot all be blamed on him.
Many posts have been backing Rafa, as the situation is starting to spiral out of control. The manager isn’t what we should be focusing on right now.
We are hurting, and bad. This is the list of players hurt:
Goalkeeper-Cavalieri
Defenders-Kelly, Johnson, Aurelio, Agger, Degen (ineligible)
Midfielders- Gerrard Aquilani,
Forwards- Torres, Ngog
Apparently Torres and Cavalieri will be in the Lyon squad no matter what, which is probably necessary, and Aquilani is a maybe, but if we continue to lose, it is all about the injuries. Rafa may have made some questionable selections this week, but one has to admit, he didn’t have much to work with.
I think it might be time to recall Krisztian Nemeth from AEK. Our depth is so low right now that we need anyone and everyone. The fact that the kid can score doesn’t hurt either.
Let’s hope the Reds get fit soon, because it gets tougher from here on out.
