Media bias shown again

Did you know that no one has ever dived in the Premier League before? Did you know it’s an outrage that David N’gog jumped out the way of a blind challenge that could have crippled him? Did you know N’gog should be ashamed of himself as he let the rest of the leagues players down, none of which have ever dived?

Yes the media have slaughtered young French striker David N’gog for his dive against Birmingham. Of course it should be mentioned, he shouldn’t have done it, it was immoral, but then again it got us a point. My question to the many journalists at the various newspapers and websites around the country is why didn’t you make such a fuss when a United or Chelsea player dived? Why didn’t you run back page articles every time Ronaldo dared to flop to the floor when he wasn’t touched last season? Why don’t you put articles on the main page of your website when Drogba goes down like he’s been shot after a clean challenge?

Personally I think the reasoning behind it is the majority of professional journalists don’t like us, we keep things in house so they can never get their latest scoop, we’re not like their much-loved media darlings Manchester United. The British media love to see us slip up or make a mistake, they fail to highlight N’gog’s brilliant goal to get the game up and running in the first half yet love to slate a young lad for making one mistake. I wonder what would happen if Rooney was in the same position, I reckon they’d probably all cream themselves over his wonder strike which ensured United walked out with something from the game.

  1. Wesley:
He doesnt mention Arsenal in all fairness to him, basically the media hate Liverpool and Arsenal. The comments on Sky this morning and now on the BBC are an outrage, sure he dived which is wrong and i dont condone it. However the BBC have branded him as a CHEAT!, yet look at all the other divers in the EPL, its a disgrace

  2. Isn’t it obvious that N’gog cheated? I mean it’s totally not instinctive to jump out of the way of a sliding challenge. Players who have integrity would have run straight into Carsely’s leg and fallen over, maybe getting injured in the process to justify earning a penalty.

  3. yes rc you’re totally right,

i saw the match on french television and it was the same “ngog dived ! what a poor way to have a penalty !” and i screamed “there’s penalty, diving or not ! carsley didn’t touch the ball, and if ngog don’t jump he can be injuried”.

medias often forget that blood or broken legs are not needed to consider that there’s a foul. If a player wants to tackle and miss the ball and if he impedes the other player to follow his action, that’s simply a FOUL.

I saw a good Ngog yesterday, i did enjoy !

  4. I cannot believe what I’m reading here. It’s one thing to jump over a tackle. There’s another thing when you sprawl your arms out as if you had been tripped and are out of control. This blog had posts of divers up and down for days after the Eduardo and Rooney incedents. Do not act all high and mighty. It was a dive. Move on. You’re not better than anyone else cause of the team you support.
