I received the following email from a Liverpool Supporter wanting to sell his licence plate and donate the proceeds to his village in Bangladesh.
My name is Javed and I own this plate F6 LFC. I own a small coffee shop and I put aside a percentage of my takings each week for an orphanage in Bangladesh in my village. Ive been supporting them for 6 years but this year funds have been scarse for them. When I heard that F6 were in negotiations to buy My beloved LFC I was very excited for many reasons.
For one, we would finally be rid of those two cowboys who have bought our club nearly on its knees (I know that sounds a bit drastic but that’s how I feel). I was excited for Rafa who wouldn’t have to speculate on rough diamonds due to a lack of funds, instead he could go out and buy proven talent (not that I don’t believe in developing young gems like Arsene Wenger) but having to buy so-called gems because you have no other options is not going to win us the league. I am also excited as I never get lucky with anything until now. I have this amazing plate which hopefully I can sell to some wealthy Liverpool fan and raise some money for my charity.
