I love Rafa, but sometimes his starting team really screws with my head. We know he has brought some dummies, but we all know, only Arsehole Wenger has an eye for foreigners, who can play in a Premiership team. My point here is, Masc and Lucas both playing from the start. In my opinion they are both defensive, but more worrying, is the fact they do not produce enough goals, 5-10 would be good from midfield per season. (Goal). Now Aquilani is fit he should be starting, but if not fully fit maybe bring Gerrard back a bit and have Babel playing central up front or slightly behind the striker. I’m not saying Lucas is shit, because he is not, he is still settling and is improving, but it should be either him or Masc playing, not both, ( not enough goals).
However I was so glad to see Aurielio start tonight, he improves our left side a great deal, gives us balance and gives Insua great protection. This also gives us more freedom on how to use Babel, Yossi and Kuyt. We could do with another genuine left sided player in the squad.
At the back, zonal is ok, but we are struggling with it, maybe Rafa should tell his players (or remind them), to use there brains and initiative and leave there zone if they see movement from the opposition and therefore danger, I don’t want to see anymore “this is my zone crap” hint hint Mr Skrtle.
