I received the following email regarding Jamie’s official charity, I really encourage all you Reds who can to support this cause, Y.N.W.A. The Website is www.jamiecarragher23.co.uk
So I did just that. I knew my children are avid fans and would love a signed photo. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get my children something I knew they would love and be helping support other young children in the process. I felt good knowing my money was going towards helping youth clubs buy sports equipment and keeping children off of the streets.
As a child I had the opportunity to be part of a great youth club and play sports. The sports are what kept me busy when I would have otherwise had nothing to do. I loved being part of the team and I realize that helped keep me out of trouble.
There are however many children that will never have the opportunity to play sports or even be part of a great youth club. With the help of The 23 Foundation, my donation will allow this. I strongly urge you to consider making a small donation to such a great cause.
The 23 foundation encourages the youth of Merseyside to actively reach for their dreams by following their sporting interests. By providing a framework for achieving their goals, the Merseyside community, of which Jamie himself plays a very large role in, can develop more self-assured, well rounded individuals.
In giving children a reason and also the means to express their talents we can show them there are many ways to be successful on a personal and career level by being part of a team. So its no surprise therefore that the idea of “We” as a “Team” is a very important part of what the 23 foundation does. I really believe that The 23 Foundation will be changing the lives of many children. As a child it’s easy to lose direction, but even something as simple as being part of a team can add meaning and really change that.
I have no doubts that The 23 Foundation will be a positive influence for the youth of our next generation.
