Reasons why Maxi will be a success at LFC

Posted by

Without a doubt I am feeling pretty good about Maxi Rodriguez and I strongly believe that he will be a huge success at LFC if signed, here are the reasons.

1) Taking a paycut : It has been reported that Maxi is willing to take a paycut to join Liverpool, this is almost unheard of in modern football that a player makes a financial sacrifice to play for a team. I am sure that the Kop will reward Maxi with a song or two for such a gesture.

2) Mascherano :
It is no secret that Maxi wants to play in the World Cup, what a better way to make the squad if you are recommended by the Captain. I am sure Maradona will be all ears to anyone Javier recommends.

3) Rafa : Having a manager who speaks your language is always a big plus and on top of it Rafa is respected in Argentina and in Spain. Maxi is a mature player who will do very well under Rafa’s guidance.

4) Torres : A former team mate of Maxi, I am sure that both of them will be thrilled to play together again.

5) Pellegrino : You simply can not argue that having a compatriot as a coach is a huge plus, especially when you see how Insua has developed in the last year. No one would understand Maxi better than Mauricio.

6) Insua : Of course the more compatriots the easier it will be for Maxi to settle, Emiliano also gives Maxi the opportunity to have a young team mate to mentor.

  1. After all this I would be gutted if we didn’t sign him now!

Always liked maxi though, sure to improve the squad, even if he doesnt do anything he should hopefully give Kuyt some competition, resulting in him improving his form back to last years standard

  2. Okay, he should settle in okay in terms of his personal life, but er, what about his playing abilities?

  3. The only reason why he should come is LFC is the best team in the world. Anything else is second.
It is the club not the individuals that make playing for it attractive. If it is not for this reason the move is doomed.
People come and go but the club never walks alone.
