Hicks replaces Jr. with someone who looks up to Condoleezza Rice

Posted by

The big news this morning was that Tom Hicks Junior was forced to resign after his abusive email to a Liverpool Supporter.

This of course caused a shake up in the board with Philip Nash, Ian Ayre and Casey Coffman joining the board. Philip Nash & Ian Ayre both have executive positions at LFC so the obvious newcomer is Casey Coffman.

Casey is the one who is replacing Jr. to protect Hicks’ interest in the board, she is loyal servant of Hicks. The Dallas Business Journal recently mentioned her as a “Woman to watch” within the Dallas business community. In an interview she gave with the same magazine she listed Condoleezza Rice as a Historical-Role-Model. (full interview here)

This does not excite me, I was never a fan of the Bush administration and quite frankly Condoleezza Rice was a miserable failure as Secretary of State and now we have a member in our board who looks up to her.

Simply great.

H&G pack your bags and get the hell out.

  1. Thanks for your research, Antoine. It is good to know a bit more about that person and what I read does not excite me at all. Another person who has no clue about football or what this club means to its worldwide fanbase… At the speed of our club going downhill, I wonder: has there ever been a public statement of David Moores or Rick Parry about what a fantastic job they did by selling the club to these con men???

  2. Our board resembles the right-wing of the USA corporate elite, backers of the Bush administration – the biggest mass-murdering establishment the west has ever seen. These people have no interest in our club or the fans. They are driven by money and profit and all this at the expense of our beloved club. They will not leave our club without a collective fight from the fans. If we want our own bit of socialism within our club, much like that of Barcelona, then we will have to fight for it. Long live the memory and wisdom of Shanks, the true football socialist.
