I Want Rafael Benitez to STAY

Posted by

This season can be the hardest season for Rafael Benitez. The injuries and the lucks of Liverpool had made the bloody crisis for the club. We saw the players’ frustrations, the manager and coaches didn’t have a smile on their faces. The fans like us can’t even recognize this team is Liverpool. Now, many of the Liverpool fans from the whole world are likely to see Rafael Benitez leave the club. They want Rafa get out of Liverpool. Those lovely fans who dislike Rafa, you all have to read this.
Do you guys still remember he brought us the CL trophy in year 2005? Do, you guys still remember he brought us the FA Cup in year 2006? Do you guys still remember he brought us the Super Cup? If you all say he is not good enough for Liverpool, that means you guys are very wrong. He bought many useless players from other clubs. He wasted the Boards’ money. But, if Rafa got the enough money, do you think he will buy such bad players? If you got enough money to buy players, will you buy some star players? Rafa knows who is the star players. If he got the enough money, why don’t he buy Messi? Kaka? or Ronaldo? What about let’s see the good signs from him, Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia, Dirk Kuyt, D.Agger, Glen Johnson, and many else. Who knows they are good players before they join Liverpool? Torres was not famous in Atlectico Madrid right? Xabi Alonso was helping his old team Real Sociedad to avoid the relegations before he join Liverpool, Dirk Kuyt scored many goals for his former club but he was still not as good as playing in Liverpool, Luis Garcia was fighting for his own future in Barca too. After they joined Liverpool, how’s their performance in Liverpool? They perform well right? Now, Torres is the best striker in the planet, D.Kuyt is the 1st 11 in the Holland International team, Xabi Alonso had worth about 30mil pounds, and some more success of other good signing. Rafa created them, isn’t it? Sometimes we have to think about the success of the manager.

Rafa is under pressure now, the team didn’t perform as well as last season, the media keep creating rumours about the leaving of Torres and Gerrard, and some legends had urged Rafa to leave the club. If you were Rafa, do you happy? Do you feel under pressure? Now, the most stupid thing is, the fans don’t even like him. How sad he is. We should know, if our players or managers are under pressure and can’t perform well, we have to give our supports to them, not asking Rafa to get out. This will bring him another pressure, and this is from the fans. If we keep on giving them the support, they will think about “we have the fantastic fans, we must play for them, not letting them down.” But now many of the Liverpool fans hate Rafa, the pressure of him can’t even makes him breath. He will think “OMG, the fans don’t love me, they want me to go. How can the players perform well under the fans’ pressure?” If we give our full support on Rafa, he will be more relax a little bit. He can just think about the game, the players, the tactics, and he can focus more in football not MEDIA.

This season we were very unlucky, the injuries of the players let the team down. Sometimes we performed well but we can’t get what we want. We conceded many late goals and these killed us. We forced to knock out from CL, we forced to knock out from FA Cup and others. We saw the team played well, we can see we were winning the game, but lacking of confidence and lucks killed the game. So sometimes we cannot blame Rafa. But sometimes he made some miss understanding decisions, for example, he don’t start Aquilani much. He don’t start Maxi since Maxi arrive. He don’t use Babel to kill the defenders. These are his mistakes maybe. Or maybe he try to protect his players and avoid injuries. Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun had injured now. He will be more careful to make any decision, I think he will try to protect his players more.

Yesterday, Liverpool beat Spurs 2-0. Kuyt scored both goals. Actually we deserved more, we got a lot of chances but we failed to finish it. This result had showed that Liverpool is still a strong team under Rafa, the players seem playing for Rafa and fans. They showed their character and confidence. But if we were lucky, I think we can score more goals. We won against Spurs. 1 point behind Man City and Spurs. Much easier right? But we still have to continue our good performance. Rafa will know what to do now. The team will start flying high, so that’s why he is very sure that Liverpool will be in the top four. So, let’s see what happen next.
Rafa is still under pressure now, so I hope the Reds fans who dislike Rafa please stop complaining him, he is very unlucky, and we know he loves the club, he loves the fans. He is working very hard now. The Yanks should give him more money to sign good players. Help him to buy stars, not helping him to CREATE the stars. Give him full our supports so that he will be more success in Liverpool, just like how he success in Valencia, the fans there always give him the full support so that he can beat Real Madrid and Barca to win the Spanish La Liga. So why don’t we sing his name as loud as we can? Why don’t we help him to get away from the crisis?

C’mon REDS! Let’s RoaR for Rafa!!! He is the best!! He is the Man!! You’ll Never Walk Alone!!!!!

  1. Rafa has had the chance to buy quality but has squanderd money on ‘lesser’ players instead do ing what the mancs or chelski do and investing big. Rooney is a prime example, or Drogba. You get what you pay for.I hope we see improvment from glen johnson- early promise but … See Morevery poor prior to injury. Torres- truly gifted but injury prone, Aquilani- early to judge, Mascherano- a good player. People keep whining on about the yanks and it is wearing a bit thin. Rafa has had money to spend- it could be that we just cant compete with ibramovich or the city arabs. But look at the state man utd are in now? I dont hear the glaziers getting roasted and verbally abused by the minute. I’m not a fan of the yanks but I’m not Rafa’s biggest fan either- dating back to Barnsley fa cup tactics and Athens also, but i’m not going to verbally abuse any of them. Torres was a star at athletico so the article is inaccurate. Football is getting crazier by the minute as well- the common fan will be priced out soon. I mean, £32 for the europa cup versus who??????????. All i’m sayiong to everyone is- AT WHAT PRICE SUCCESS???

  2. Be honest, would you have posted the same if we lost yerstady? I wish there were more such posts, I don’t necessarily agree that benitez must stay (clearly he does until the end of the season) nor that he has to leave, I can’t tell if he’s the best what could happend to liverpool or the worst, simply beacause we can’t see everything behind the scene. If you read or hear something it doesn’t mean it true for sure, see that bs written about steveG… But there is one very important message: the fans must keep united and support the club no matter what! Benitez is our manger today so we support him. If we dont finish top 4 he didn’t reach, what he said he would, so he’ll be sacked. Not because of bad luck or injuries but because of a bad season. Keep on fighting you reds, YNWA!

  3. @ tim hartley
    Simao, Dani Alves, David Silva.
3 players Rafa wanted but was not given the cash.

Also, we had the opportunity to get both Cristiano Ronaldo and Kun Aguero before they were established players, but again the board stood in our way.

  4. Regarding Simao, Alves and Silva, that might have been a good thing.

Simao would have been abysmal in the Premier League. Alves has nothing Johnson doesn’t. Only Silva could have made a proper difference.

Regarding Ronaldo and Aguero, you are right.

  5. I Hope Like Kelvin That Rafa Benitez Will Stay At Anfield Road! In This Team I Trust I Belong To This Club Liverpool FC Forever In My Heart! Scousers Rule The World! Ps : Good Article Kelvin xD!

  6. @tim hartley:

The fact is that Rafa generates most of the money spends. He rarely squanders money. OK Keane didn’t work out, but most of our basement buys have been at a basement price.

I agree with you when you say that success comes at a price, and many fans are ignorant of that. They think that you can be successful instantly without giving up a small part of your soul. Look at Chelsea, that club is a machine. Players come in, trophies go out. I’d rather we went another 18 barren years than have this club’s heart ripped out.

  7. Thanks for you guys’ support. But Thomas, I created this blog yesterday. Today I just added some words after i saw Liverpool won against Spurs. Actually, from year 2004, I had already believe in Rafa. YNWA!! Thanks!! more to come soon! YNWA!!

  9. @Cezar

Dead right. We wanted Dani Alves to play down the right hand side of midfield. His club asked for 15m we end up buying JERMAINE PENNANT for 6.7m. To me its the Barry Fry effect(at Birmingham city the board didn’t sanction the moves he wanted apart from Otto and Francis £700,000 apiece. He had a mature squad of 67 players, 55 of which were not good enough because the board believed in ‘value for money signings’ i.e £50,000 players.)…either give Rafa the cash he needs for the players HE wants or he’ll end up with a revolving door of 80 players that will either be hit or miss.

  10. i sent a message to Antoine soon after posting the feedback that is listed here for Kelvin. I enjoy all the articles posted. It’s great to have a good ‘debate’ in a civilized way rather than the ‘facebook rant, rave and name calling’. The article I sent Antoine goes into us all staying united as a fanbase no matter what our preferences are. I wish I truly new all the financial truths about lfc and had access to the books etc to give a firmer opinion on H&G but I dont. I also like Rafa at face value, even though I’ve never met him- but I must admit I have disagreed with a lot of things over the past couple of seasons.
Whatever our differences lets all keep it clean and amicable.
    Cheers
    Tim

  11. All said and done ….We must keep our faith in Rafa..but belive me all you folks..all this pleading so that every fan keeps faith will prove superfluous..only if we keep getting the right results..that will also quieten critics..
However i would like to take the opportunity to bring to everybody’s attention that just one great result is not enough for us and make-shift changes may not always work out so Rafa must not shift focus from buying another striker or attacking midfielder this month..Although the likes of DEGEN, LUCAS,MASCHERANO are playing out of the skin..but honestly speaking with this force Liverpool is more of a defensive outfit..We must try to get someone this window and Hope RAFA doesnot get carried away by the success at hand..because if we are to get to the top 4..we need to score goals..and Defence IS NOT THE ANSWER..Sure some swap deal or something should be available…even if we are short of requisite Cash..

  12. @kaustav

Good post and I agreed with most of it but DEFENSE is the answer. I think one of our major problems this season was making the adaption from balanced team to attacking team in the course of one summer. Johnson and Insua have really disjointed the team this season as they constantly expose the lack of pace of our center backs and stop them from doing what they do best which is defend the 18 yard box. We are more or less playing two on two at the back and only Man utd with Rio and Vidic are good enough to do that. If we can find the balance of last season and teach Insua how to defend we will soon win matches 1-0 consistently which will be a superb confidence booster and platform to build on.

  13. This season is a freak season – with all this injuries to several central players at the same time – together with the loss of Alonso before season – and Aquilani just recently been able to do anything meaningfull to the team (jury still out on him though).

I think he wil come good in the end, but it depends on where he’s used in the future. This season is a bad one, but hopefully a few of the younger lads in the fold step up like – Pacheco and stake their claim for next season – then this might be a door opener for the future of Liverpool FC ? Sometimes we need to take one step back to take a few strides forward – just HOPE this is the case for this season…

Benitez must stay – because it makes no sense to replace him now, no money available for new players, and who the h…. will join a club with those muppets at the top running the club ? A new manager – a new transition period for Liverpool FC, and I think we’re definately best served by sticking with Benitez.

arsenal would have struggles without both Fabregas and Van Persie, Chelsea without Lampard and Drogba, United without Rooney.. so Liverpool being without Torres (injury) & Gerrard (injury + loss of form) this season it was always going to be tough. Not being able to put together training sessions with your best players available either (only matchdays) makes it more difficult to gel on the pith too..

Lets just hope we manage to get that elusive 4th spot in the end, and qualify for CL next season!

  14. Well said, Kelvin. Agree with you. I think the frustrations of fans came because they at 1st believe Rafa is the manager that’s gonna bring the trophy to us after we came close last season. But they forgot not everything is in Rafa’s hand..injuries does hv effected our team (agreed by pundits) with all the ref’s judgement going against us (except for Spurs game last nite)..find a team that hv almost all 22 players injured..rafa cant even pick the best on bench..he need to gamble & decide after necessary judgement who should play..& those who played need to be extra carefull not to add up the injured list..but still it happened..but if u look at the good sight, at least we get to see new talent like kelly, darby, degen, insua, spearing, pacheco to play..i do get frustrated with the bad results..but i also know..if the ball is at rafa’s foot, he’ll make sure we win it even if he had to fly..carra used to said, when they are on the field, it’s all up to them to deliver..but even carra & captain stevie didn’t perform to their level in the early season..& u hope new players to have full confidence when the seniors are even below par..all i can say, choke it up whether u like it or not..if u really want rafa to leave, meet him up face to face & tell him how bad he is..spreading words on website wont effect anything because they are not gonna read it..
