Where did the money go?

Before the opening of the January transfer window, Rafa seemed adamant that he would bring a striker to Anfield to replace Torres when he is out injured or to field him alongside the Spanish striker, and also to increase out attacking options.

Van Nistelrooy (thankfully decided to go to the Bundesliga), Heskey and Carew were touted as being potential candidates (probably by their own agents) but nothing ever materialized. Huntelaar also came into the fray at some point. In the dying moments of the transfer window we seemed close to capturing Kenwyne Jones from Sunderland while Babel was on his way out to Birmingham, but yet again nothing was concluded. I believe that Jones can still come on loan with an option to buy, and same goes for Babel. This is what we have been reading, but of course only Rafa, Purslow and a selected few know what’s cooking!

The fact remains that the Reds have sold Andrea Dossena and Andriy Voronin, and today saw young german Christopher Buchtmann leave the Anfield fold direction Craven Cottage (Fulham). Have I missed anyone?

In turn we have brought Maxi Rodriguez to Anfield on a free. I have to add here that this was a very shrewd acquisition as Maxi will prove to be an effective and important signing, and no crazy money was paid for him which makes everything that much sweeter.

My question is where has the money coming in from the sale of players gone this time round?????

  1. Hopefully added into the HUGE kitty were gonna have in the next transfer window as was promised by the Americans.

  2. Well Rafa is supposed to have said that even this morning(1st feb) that he had some funds..and so the funds are therefore with him only..but he wasn’t as keen to spend them i think..WHY??? only he knows and knows the management including the Owners..
The Rest , FANS like us ..like Jevon should be optimistic enough to think that the Owners will fulfill their promise this time round in Summer..and may be we’ll 6m pounds more of that then..(Hoping against hope may be)…

1 positive news however regarding our striker problem…

It was said in the official Liverpool fc website that “The injured Duo of Martin kelly and nabil El Zhar returns to actio today..”
I watched EL-Zhar against blackburn and he seemed effective to me..(better than NGOG..who even that day played well..worked hard ..but hit the bar ..of a fabulous Johnson pass)..
May be ZHAr doesn’t have the height but if available should be played sometime to see if he has the same urge and better luck that the ever-so labourious ..NGOG..
Here’s wishing you all the BEST “L CZAR”..Hope to see you soon..YNWA!!!

  3. New manager hahaha Sorry itll never happen. Guillam Belague, possibly the most credible dude out there has been told by the Anfield powers that be that Rafa is in their long term plans. They mentioned that have stability in mind and that this includes Rafa.

If youre not happy with that simply go support another team. Easy as…
