Happy Birthday Mum

Great news on the Shorty front, we are now in the final round.
Our competition is fierce especially when we have 3 Brazilians in the last 6.
Please invite your friends to Vote

Today is also Groundhog day in the USA,  George Gillett woke up this morning and saw his own shadow. Unfortunately it is going to be at least another 6 months of H&G ownership.

Speaking of USA, word is that the Reds might tour North America this Summer. If this is true that would be awesome for me personally and also for LFC. The last time the Reds toured America was right before the start of the 2004/05 season and then we won in Istanbul, Good Omen? :-)

We have a new writer on EOTK here is his first post
(Does he look like a Liverpool player? :-) )

There was a strong word that Vasilis Torosidis was joining Liverpool as the window was closing more…

(So far there has not been any confirmation however there still might be if it was a late transfer)

Great News on the injury front as Kelly & El Zhar both return from injuries as the reserves beat Bolton 2-0 more…
(Amoo & Plessis score while Pacheco almost pulled an Alonso)

Christopher Buchtmann was sold to Fulham yesterday  more…
(100K should be enough to pay for Hicks’ week-long stay at the Hilton)

However Weijl has completed a loan move back to the Netherlands more…
(So it is a loan and not a sale as originally reported)

Former Liverpool Chief Executive Rick Parry wants a gambling ‘Task Force’ to be set up more…
(Sounds like he knows something. I still think him & Moores took the biggest sports gamble ever by selling the club to H&G)

Rafa pays tribute to Kyrgiakos more…
(He is the son of Zeus, YNWA)

And Kuyt  talks about the dressing room mood more…
(It is all behind us now Dirk, keep focusing on the game, you have been awesome in the last few games. YNWA)

Pepe Reina too talks about the painful slump more…
(YNWA Pepe, keep those clean sheets coming with the Athenian wall in front of you there should not be any problems :-) )

Martin has extended his stay at Leeds more…
(Hopefully he can get some action)

And Eccleston also extends his stay at Huddersfield more…
(He will stay there until the end of the season)

Harry Kewell’s agent attacks the medicals at Liverpool & Leeds over Harry’s treatment more…
(Humm, let me break my leg and then blame the doctor)

The same agent claimed that Rafa was seeking advice from Harry about injuries  more…
(After all who does not know injuries better)

The record was set as the Reds & Blues unite for charity more…
(That is the spirit of the Merseyside Derby, we will defeat them this weekend however:-) )

According to Guillem Balague Investment is pivotal to 5 year plan more…
(Sorry Guillem I just can not trust Hicks & Gillett)

And Purslow is not contemplating life without Rafa, Torres or Gerrard more…

(However in the basement of the News of the World there was a meeting to decide which story to run. I believe they might be going to Torres is leaving as it has been a couple of weeks since they ran that story :-) )

And Robbie Keane joined Celtic claiming he has been a lifelong Celtic fan more…
(Wait a minute I heard that before from him last year. Yes he said that he was a lifelong Liverpool supporter. So does anyone out there still blame Rafa for Keane leaving Liverpool? Not to offend any of our Irish friends but I think he has a problem.)

More talk of John Terry handing in the captain’s armband more…
(If Terry steps down and Capello does not make Stevie G captain then Stevie should quit International football)

And finally another great article by Paul Tomkins more…
(Awesome stuff)

  1. Irish friend.

When it was reported he was coming to liverpool i was thinking he would not fit in our team just could see him not doing good (not that i think he is a bad player he is a exlent player)

One thing i will say in his defence most of Irish fans are a fan of Liverpool or Man U and aswell of one Celtic or Rangers
( not in any way of having a go at any one just want to defend the lad a little)

    Good luck to him

  2. RAFA play El Zhar sometime soon..lets see if he has better urge and luck than the laborious NGOG..Zhar played against blackburn and he was impressive ….So as pacheco will only make “guest appearances ” (as Dani confesses in a recent video that next season he would play more)..TrY EL ZHAR…RAFA..lets see how good he is..he has waited too long (make best use of available resources now and get us in the Top 4)…GO REDS..YNWA!!!!

  3. First of all, happy birthday to your mum=)

When Keane first left Liverpool i was livid, i couldnt believe it!!, i mean 6 months to judge a player, i was very sad that he left, because i was extremely excited at his arrival. But with comments like these, i dont think we should feel disappointed.

And i hope LFC’s north america tour happens. I love Christian Purslow, i think he is the signing of the season for Liverpool, first the sponsorship deal, and im sure he is going to get the right investors into Liverpool. And also im pleased at the fact that he does H&G PR duties, and not them. I just hope that hes not a ‘yes-man’ to those two. We need these commercial moves, set-up bases abroad, more foreign tours etc..

We are moving in the right direction now…

  4. About Robbie Keane saying he is a life long celtic should not really offend any Liverpool fans or the Irish. I know what he says sounds bad but in Ireland if you support Celtic you will usally always support them as much as you like most in the premiership aswell (unless your a die hard Celtic fan) so i really wouldnt mind what he says because i understand where he is coming from and dont think anyone should really take noitce of it.

  5. In Ireland, most people support a team from the Premier League and either Celtic or Rangers. I support L.F.C and Celtic and hate ManUre and Rangers with a vengence. Its all about religious divides years ago.

And no, I don’t have a religious keyboard war with anyone, so don’t start one.

    thank you

  6. Robbie was never given a chance! There was prejudice from the coaching staff against him from day 1. The lad was living a lifetime dream and it should not have ended that way, especially in the situation we find ourselves now. To remember that Courchie left because with Keane around he though his playing chances would be even more limited.
I like Robbie’s personality, his passion and his game. Shame we did not let him express himself with the Reds. Good luck Robbie!

  7. Everton were the Catholic Team of yesteryear and LFC were from the bluseside. Not that, that maters anymore – but it’s one thing I always get brought up on by my Evertonian mates!

  8. Gday good article about the worldcup in Sout Africa. I can’t wait the Socceroos to kickass. Go the best team in the world, Australia(or New Zealand second choice) You can watch the Australian Socceroos match streamed live online for free, here: http://watchfifaworldcup.com.au !!
