Patience pays off, Ask Peter Crouch

I am not going to go back too far into our illustrious history to make my point but the recent comments by some fans about David N’Gog disturb me.

When Peter Crouch first came to Liverpool he just could not score and had to wait until December to finally get his first goal thanks to a weird deflected shot against Wigan.

We supported Crouch through his 3 month drought and while England fans were booing him the Kop was singing his name.  Crouch later rewarded us as the goals kept coming and he even scored a couple of acrobatic beauties. As for England fans, only after he did that stupid robot dance did they and the news-mafia finally embrace him.

David N’Gog is 20 years old, we signed him for only £1.5 million and if you look at the Premier League you will see many strikers who have cost much more money and have scored almost the same amount of goals (if not less) per minute played than young David.

Remember these players use the internet and I am sure that they Google their names to see what the word out there is and for a young 20 year old it does not help his confidence to come across name calling from fans.

As always stand by your team and cheer the lads on.
