Gerry’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was already No. 1 back in 1963 however I really believe that we (Liverpool supporters) should help it reach new heights again. I have had many Celtic supporters emaling me and asking us to help them. We should buy the single for two main reasons; last year when we needed help with the boycott against Steven Cohen (who was spewing lies about Hillsborough) Celtic supporters were the first to respond to our call. The other reason is that “You’ll Never Walk Alone” is our anthem too. Let us do this for Liverpool F.C., for the thousands who have braved the long journeys to the football cathedrals of Europe and for Gerry Marsden a true Red.
I understand that there are some Scottish Liverpool fans who are also Rangers fans and I must say this does complicate matters. To the Rangers fans I want to remind them that Y.N.W.A. is Liverpool’s anthem more than Celtic’s :-)
Even if you do not care about Celtic, do it for Liverpool F.C. it is our anthem after all, the words are on our badge.
