Liverpool vs Chelsea (Sunday)

After the elimination from the Europa League on Thursday we host the Blues on Sunday for the final home game of the season. A history defining game for us that is being played against the historically-challenged Chelsea team.

Unfortunately a victory for us would also mean that Manchester United will probably secure the record nineteenth title and become the English team with the most league titles. I can’t imagine what the Mancs will say should Chelsea win this game, they are already talking about a possible buyout given that our new Chairman Martin Broughton is also a lifetime Chelsea fan.

We still have a small chance of finishing fourth and clinching that precious Champions League spot so the Reds will give it all. It will be a very bitter pill to swallow should we win, on the upside we will be able to claim that United would have never won their nineteenth title if it was not for us beating Chelsea. A draw would be the worst possible result because we would lose out on the Champions League spot and still gift-wrap the title for United.

Rafa still has injuries to deal with as Fernando Torres, Martin Skrtel, Martin Kelly, Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio will all not feature due to injuries. This game might also be the last one for the gaffer at Anfield as his future now seems uncertain.

Predicted Lineup:
Reina, Carra, Soto, Johnson, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Benayoun, Maxi, Gerrard, Kuyt

Kick off as at 1:30 PM
