Rafa has left, not by choice I think, but I think he must be relieved. Promised so much by H&G, none of which has been followed through. These promises fuelled anger in the fans and then that anger was finally seen in a split of the fans, most backed him and would leave it till next season. That split was enough to see the stress in Rafa and increase his discomfort in the job.
On the other hand, there have been reports of the players not wanting to stick around, and now it seems this is because of Rafa’s attitude toward them. I thoroughly believe his attitude has changed and he has lost his man management of the squad as well as tactics.
If he had stayed would key players of gone, who knows, but if they had, it would be no loss. We could have an ideal opportunity to rebuild with youngsters already at Liverpool, instead of worrying about bringing in experienced replacements. I do believe these kids could stay up and beat most sides in the Premier League and who knows maybe even show that the Academy is worth a try, instead of spending money. We have tried so much over the past two decades, why not try something different.
Now he has gone, will the key players move because the money is not there for new additions of the quality they need to team up with, or will bite there lips and see what happens if H&G sell up and give it one more season.
My view on this is, we will end up with King Kenny and maybe Rushy taking up a more influential presence in the dugout, but probably only as assistance to whoever takes over! Hopefully no one leave, Riena is staying and that says a lot about what could happen. Keep the faith, Gerrard is Lfc through and through, he could have left years ago and Torres wore LFC on his sleeve before he came to Anfield, one more season for him at least.
