I just came across a report saying that Inter are offering £12.5 million and Sulley Muntari for Masch.
He is worth much much more and Inter need to come up with a lot more, atleast £25 million in order to take him to the San Siro.
Funny how last season with Rafa in charge he was valued at £50 million and now he’s bidding less than even half of that amount. I would be gutted if he’s sold for anything less than £25 million. Roy also said that we might not sell him, if an agreement isn’t reached. I personally would want him to be sold because he’s clearly not happy and it’s no point having him in the squad, the negativity will just spread. He is world class, probably one of the best defensive mids in world football, but I’d rather have a player who wants to wear the red shirt, even if he isn’t as good as him.

As an aside, we hardly need another undisciplined attacking central midfielder do we? Get them to give us Cambiasso!
We were linked with a young Slovak Inter Milan midfielder earlier this month so I would rather have him included in any player plus cash swap deal rather than having Muntari (who already stated he wants to stay in Milan) However our first preference should be straight cash so that we can buy whoever we want and preferably English talent.

Jaidev, don’t believe everything you read friend. The Reds WILL get top dollar for Masch as they did last season for Xabi. There is nothing ‘better’ for a Club than having a player under contract and a big club/s wanting him at all costs.
an agreement will be find, it can’t be possible in an other way. masch as said many times that he was unhappy, that he wanted to leave, and more: taht he was learning italian.
Roy knows that he can do anything to keep him in Anfield… now we have to make a good deal… and please without Muntari. It could have been a great player if he had a brain in his head.

Will we miss Masch? Yes, about his talent. He’s one of the best defensive midfielder in the world. But No, if you see our midfielders. We’ll surely play with lucas-aqui in central midfield, or lucas_gerrard in other way. We can have spearing-aqui, spearing-gerard…

I read an opta stat the other day that we have won our last 20 premiership games when Mascherano hasn’t been in the team! So I’m sure we will cope fine.
