On Thursday we host the Macedonian (FYROM) outfit FK Rabotnicki for the second leg of the Europa League 3rd qualifying round. David N’Gog’s brace in the away leg gives us a nice cushion.
Roy has almost the entire squad at his disposal and today he revealed that he would start Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson & Jamie Carragher. The gaffer also revealed that Daniel Pacheco will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game so I assume that he will probably get a run too.
Fernando Torres is still injured while Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Maxi Rodriguez and Ryan Babel returned to Melwood in the last few days so I do not expect any of them to feature. I also believe that the gaffer will not play Javier Mascherno and Emiliano Insua because of their possible sale, this prevent them from being cup-tied for European competitions. Roy did not mention Daniel Agger so I assume that he might not feature.
