It is looking more likely that Poulsen will be signing for Liverpool,
here is a video of the Danish midfielder as he neutralises Kaka.

  1. Back end of 2005, would’ve been about 25. Wonder how the years have treated him.

Admittedly, I haven’t seen him play ever. Hopefully he can put in shifts like he did against Milan.

  2. I would rather have Masch!!!!! Even though he wants out, he puts it in harder and smarter than poulsen….This guy will leave Pool with 10 men often……But if Hodgson teaches him to control himself and play ball, he would be a great signing.

    Happy about this season!!!!! Extremely!!!!

  3. Looks more like a rugby player. Hope he doesn’t catch Mash’s disease of being sent off in crucial games.

  4. If this video is accurate then he did a pretty good job of shutting down Kaka. Unless Kaka’s was involved in the two goals scored in the game and it wasn’t in the video. You can see in the video the guy is a bit emotional and can get mixed up in nonsense rather easily. I agree with others. I hope it doesn’t cost us this season.

  5. Video looks to be biased to be fair but he still did a good job against Kaka. Certainly a Masch types player, but a little too often he is over physical, and that level of necessary physicality may cause him to be missing from the latter stages of games!!!

Also, really didn’t like the dive that got Kaka booked. Hard to see on this video but doesn’t look like he really caught him, and I never like to see that, from a Liverpool player or anybody else.

  6. From this video, I don’t like him, for three reasons

    – He looks very anti-football, a la Van Bommel in the WC Final. I don’t want Liverpool to adopt this approach. Should leave that to Darren Fletcher.

    – He is a dead ringer for Warren Barton. He was rubbish.

    – If you watch him on the pitch he resembles Robbie Savage, in more ways than one.

Hope he can pass the ball.

Masch is one of the best in the business at what he does. He’ll be very difficult to replace.

  7. Looks like he has signed for £4.5m, wearing the no.28 shirt.

Hope this number doesn’t represent the number of bookings he’ll get this season.
