  1. Personally I’m delighted that Torres and Stevie haven’t travelled to Turkey. If we have any hope of finishing in a Champions League spot then we’ll need our best players available for the league games. Don’t get me wrong I really hope we make it through, but given the pressures on the club to improve on last year’s 7th place and the need to return to Europe’s number one cup competition going out of the Europa League would not be a massive disaster – we would have less travelling to do, player injuries should be reduced and we’ll be fitter and more fresh when it comes to game time.

  2. Maybe Barcelona could buy Thomas Mueller for us…then part-exchange him for the devoted husband. Why hasn’t Barcelona offered us a player we’d actually want…someone who could score goals without having to resort to engendering pity from goalkeepers. like Bojan or Pedro…not Hleb. The French defender seems fairly tenacious and can play in the holding role (but how well?)
