  1. I think it would be a dumb idea to ground-share with Everton cause I think 10-15 years down one of us will be looking for a way to get out of their.Plus what would the new Kop be like? When Everton plays will opposing fans actually sit on the Kop?That would be pretty weird. That is why I think either restructure Anfeild(which is my preffered choice) but a wouldn’t have a problem with the team building a new stadium aat Stanley Park.

P.S. I wish John Henry the best of luck and hope he keeps his word more than the previous clowns(even though they set the bar prety low).YNWA

  2. Definitely Restructure and renovate Anfield, makes more sense the way thing are today, financially that is.

  3. Would love to stay at Anfield but I do think 60,000 is not enough whatever is decided. The LFC season ticket waiting list is literally decades long, therefore surely we can do a minimum 70/80 seater?

Not an engineer/architect but have a feeling any refurbishment of Anfield there will only be room to allow for the 60,000 capacity already proposed. Stanley Park/New Anfield could allow for a 70-80,000 seater stadium which going forward into the next century is what we should be looking at.

With a staduim of that size we could even pitch for a CL final – imagine! The CL final being a home game for number 6, 7, and/or 8!!!

In short the seating capacity has to be a key factor so we can offer more supporters the chance to see the reds play live and crucially create better revenues for the club to compete with the other top clubs.

(The only thing I dread of moving to a Stanley Park-type development – regardless of whether the current name is kept – is that the Bitters/Mancs for the first home game against them are bound to have a few banners saying: “This is NOT Anfield”!)

  4. Selfishly, I voted to refurbish Anfield. I, among others, would like to visit Anfield before I die. However, does my vote really count?

  5. redevelop Anfield, but big question is how long will it take for the work to get done.3 years doing 1 part of stadium at a time, or share with bitters for 1 season and get the development work done in one season, major decision to be made

  6. My heart says renovate Anfield, but I think the smart decision for the long run would be to develop a new 70K+ stadium. Freddie’s thoughts of having a CL final would just be legendary. This really should be one of the greatest stadiums in the world. Can we do that with Anfield? If there is a new stadium, I will find a way to visit the ground before it becomes a thing of the past. I couldn’t stand being a Liverpool fan and saying I’ve never seen a game at Anfield.
