Napoli 0 – Liverpool 0

Not really much to talk about other than hopefully all the Liverpool supporters made it back to their respective hotels safely tonight.

The Reds performance was much better than recently and we had two great chances when both Ryan Babel and David Ngog should have scored late in the game.

It was nice to see Jonjo Shelvey get a run and he was outstanding, the kid is only 18 but has the maturity of a 25 year old.

We are now still top of our group with 5 points, next up is home to Napoli and hopefully we can collect all three points then.

  1. I’m only 21 but have been a Liverpool supporter all my life. Unfortunately, I missed the glory days of LFC but even so, I have never felt happy settling for a draw. We’ve had Roy Hodgson at the helm for about 5 months and already we’re converting to his kind of mid-table thinking. We need to get rid of him as soon as possible. We need a winner and we need one soon. If Roy is still around come January I guarantee that we will begin lose our top players (Torres, Reina et al) because they are winners and will not tolerate aspiring to mediocrity under Hodgson. I agree completely with you on Shelvey… Amazing young player but again, a player like him with a winning spirit will not want to be with a Hodgson-style-mid-table team for very long.
