“After some soul searching regarding the issue of “censorship over taste” we have decided to obscure the 9/11 scene from the Tom Hicks Epic Swindle Interview. Whilst the point was to show how ridiculous it was for Tom Hicks to call us “Internet Terrorists”, we are not insensitve idiots, and understand how the scene could be upsetting for those affected by the tragedy. As someone rightly pointed out- we wouldn’t be happy if an american show used Hillsborough to make a point- no matter how irreverantly.
The decision to keep the video online in this form comes from the massive amount of postive feedback with have received from people in the short time it has been online. For the most part people have enjoyed the video for what it is, a piss take of the moronic former Liverpool owner Tom Hicks, and we hope that by keeping it online people can continue to enjoy it.
