As expected Torres, Gerrard, Lucas, Meireles and Cole* return to the starting lineup after being rested on Thursday.

No word on what happened with Aurelio as he is not even in the lineup.

  1. I could have sworn Aurelio’s name was listed as starting on the website a couple of minutes ago. Its now changed to Konchesky. Weird!

    btw what have these guys done to earn the faith of the manager, that the “B Team” (that has actually won games) hasn’t?? So much for giving everybody a fair crack of the whip eh!

  6. Never mind about Aurelio, whats happened to Pacheco? I think he must have run over Roys dog coz I can’t understand for the life of me why he’s overlooked so often. Also can’t see the thinking in playing Kyriakos, the guy is useless i’d prefer to see Wilson get a chance. We got too many poor players holding back young talent who could do a better job.

  8. Roy said he didn’t know his best team yet keeps playing the same shower every league game. I’m not a Lucas hater, i actually think he’s been one of our better players this season and last, but please someone tell me what has Maxi, the greek, Skrtel and Konchesky have done so far to warrent continued first team action from the manager? If you ask me, Roy has no balls so can’t drop anyone as they have bigger reps than him, he’s too afraid to tell Carra he’s past it, The greek he’s not good enough or Maxi that he’s been found out and can finally go back to his day job in the butchers. Tbh, as soon as Roy walked out of the press conference where he basically said ‘come and get him’ to man u about Torres, he sould have been sacked on the spot…

  9. Soto useless? Are you insane? He is the strongest defender we have in the air, period. He also gives 110% every game which is more thn you can say about wastes of skin like Babel or poulsen.

  10. Roys last game today. Judgeing by that side can’t see a result. Need a manager to spice things up with the ba**ls to play some of our young talent ( Pacheco & co.)ynwa

  13. I can’t understand people slagging “The Greek” Soto always gives 100% and he gets stuck in, he plays with passion. Also he plays today because Blackburn love the long ball into the box and Soto usually gets his head to everything.
    Not sure why he’s playing Lucas, a Gerrard/Meirless midfield with Jova on the left and Cole behind Torres would be a faster more attacking line up and would put Blackburn on the back foot straight away.
    We need a convincing win today, anything less and Roy should do the honourable thing and resign. No more excuses!!

  14. Just watched the match. This is the 1st time we have played well in the 1st half. Unlucky for us Robinson is on form otherwise we would have been a few goals up in the 1st half. For a long time this season, this is the 2nd time I can say we DESERVED to win and should’ve won big and haul ourselves out of the relegation zone. But most importantly, I hope the players continue to play the way they played today. Having said that, I STILL don’t want to see Hodgson out before January coz I STILL have a lot of doubt in him. But as for the players to day…. THIS is the way we should be playing week in and week out. C’mon guys! YNWA!!!
