How N.E.S.V.’s VP made a former US Congressman a Liverpool fan

Posted by

Former US Congressman and TV host Joe Scarborough revealed how New England Sports Ventures’ Vice President Joe Januszewski was the one who ultimately made him a Liverpool fan.

I interviewed Scarborough yesterday and he talked about how he has been a Red Sox fan since 1975 and a visit to Januszewski’s office convinced him to start supporting Liverpool. In the interview Joe also sheds some light on what kind of ownership style we can expect from NESV having experienced it first hand as a Red Sox fan.

Joe also gives a positive prediction for the rest of the season and he has a profound faith that the Reds have now turned things around. Scarborough also talks about how football (soccer as it is know here) is becoming ever so popular in the USA.

Joe Scarborough can be followed on Twitter @JoeNBC. His TV show “Morning Joe” airs every weekday morning on US cable channel MSNBC. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001 representing Florida’s first district.

  1. Hey this is so funny a couple years ago in New York when the famed Nevada Smith’s was too crowded I made my way to another bar/restaurant and watched Liverpool destroy Man U 4-1. In the bar I kept hearing this voice behind me yelling in support of the Reds and guess who it was good ‘ol cup a Joe Scarborough himself.

Great to find the source of his passion is at the helm of LFC now
