We had 17 goal attempts, Newcastle had 6. We had 6 shots on target, Newcastle had 3. And it was enough to score three goals and defeat us (it has to be said) unexpectedly. After Dirk Kuyt’s equalizer the most of the fans thought there’s only one team going to win the match. We looked like we were capable of scoring at any point, but we didn’t. Newcastle made use of their chances, we stopped pressing, lost our concentration and there you have it, the result says it the best: Newcastle 3, Liverpool 1.

Jones, Wilson, Konchesky, Aurelio, Johnson, Poulsen, Meireles, Jova, Cole, Ngog, Torres
This would have only given him 3 Rafa players,

Too easy to blame the manager over and over again Woy didn’t let 3 sloppy goals in and Woy didn’t miss chance after chance-our ‘star’ striker did,the defeat was down to the players and its up to the players to sort it out and fast.
As much as I love liverpool, i would like to highlight a fact that blaming Only Roy is not justified. He is the same guy when we beat Aston Villa or West Ham an anfield by three goals…..and he is the same when we got in in our face at St.James park !!! Only Dirk Kuyt deserves to be in that Red Shirt i tell you. We are missing Carra and Agger terribly.
Torres , well, i never noticed him on the pitch last night. Roy should had balls to take me out and send in a pair of fresh legs. Babel was there,but we all know that he aint fast enough.
I would say, it was absolutely, lack of confidence that we could win an AWay game and also, lack of commitment and charisma from players. We need some serious re-reinforcements in january now.

Anyway, it gets to the stage where the players are poor, but then it has to get to the stage where we blame the manager. Although we still have a “chance” of reaching the top 4, it’s unlikely with Roy. We fail to be consistent, and it’s not good enough.

The Torres situation is now becoming a major worry,the last two away games he’s missed five or six chances that 18 months ago he would have put away with his eyes closed,so it can’t be said he’s not being given enough service,for me he doesn’t deserve a shirt at the moment but if he was to be dropped,it would be LFC on the back pages again for all the wrong reasons again.All reds fans are hoping our star man returns to the form that we know he is capable of,but how long does Hodgson wait for the magic to return? The situation might come to a head if the club are able to bring in a top quality striker in January.
Yes its amazing how most fans are only too defensive when it comes to Torres.. The TRUTH is that Torres has actually cost us at least 10 points this season with his non displays. Any other player would be dropped. I say we cut our losses now and get rid of him. It would be really interesting to see if he plays better with another team. We cannot go on carrying this deadwood especially at centre forward where goals are needed to win matches. Ngog is definitely not the answer – easily knocked off the ball, never wins in the air and foes not track back for the team. Give babel a proper run out.
