  1. no rafa!! just fuck off!! do not come back coz he’s fat waiter andhe has enough damage.

he should go to man utd and destroy them, this would be most suitbale destination for stupid rafa.

  2. Sean I think you should take your own advice. Stop being racist and zenophobic it shows how ignorent you are. Rafa did wonders for Liverpool.

  3. Rafa back if he would do it….would be the best route…there is no other top manager out there who loves Liverpool the way he does…no point getting the maureeno’s of this world at all…Rafa got soul!!!!!!!!

  4. rafa did alright with his champions league , but his signings aint all that, i dont want him back and i dont really want hodgson there either , someone with proven top quality history in winning , or succeeding .

  5. If Roy’s appoint is a sign of poor vision, that doesn’t mean Rafa’s sacking was a bad decision either. 6 months before—> sacking–>re join (IF/BIG IF)–> net result Zero… Going back 2 same doldrum.

I am not a fan of Roy. For the last few days few comments & remarks have been very depressing & logic less.

1)someone said- If we don’t sign Rafa, he might join Blackburn & win EPL.. Some joke… Talking about objective analysis, that man has no Epl under his belt, then subjectively does it mean according 2 the writer that winning UCL is as equivalent as winning PL?? !!

For that matter PL legends like wenger & Jose has/had no UCL medal under their belt for Arsenal & Chelsea. (Though I don’t know how broad minded people are 2 accept them as greats of the game)

2)Rafa is popular among Liverpool fans & he has done a good job to earn that reputation. cool. But realistically, the graph that was going upwards steeped down, for that everyone is to blame including RAFA. Directing fingers to those greedy Yanks doesn’t cover the entire hole. Ironically, it was coupled with bad administration which somehow marred the true catharsis of Rafa’s contribution in Pool’s downfall/ blip( 7th from 2nd a blip).

That trend continued at Inter, a TREBLE WINNING SIDE (the excuse of bad team, owners, rants, guarantees nullifies here). All he needed was to perform on pitch & he ended up in a sluggish stuttering & unconvincing way . Do you think it is a co-incidence? Nope…

The fact is he is a good manager, good tactician.. But his tactical acumen is not working somehow & the curve is getting down & down for him.(Perhaps the only man who has earned more pounds with failures for the past 18 months!) To be very honest, which top 5 EPL team would want 2 buy him?? I guess, even City would think as many as 10 times before coming to that decision..

I am not a Rafa-hater, I respect him for his achievements for some good years. But that’s history. Smell the coffee & move on DEAREST liverpool…

  6. sean, get a grip. people don’t take notice of vile rants. i agree with blueface, you should take your own advice an ” do one” , also learn some grammer while you are at it.

    festive cheer to all fans

  7. at the end of the day i’d take rafa back he made us a force in europe again NO 1!!! and with the right backing from the board ie no broken promises like the last owners then i think he could be the right man again. You only have to look at the players he was after alves, silva, malouda etc etc to see he did want the best for us but was never given the funds by the board to get them. merry crimbo

  8. @blueface I agree with you pal, he did an excellent job which made every Pool fan proud.. But do you want to rest your shoulder on past glories only when at present the man is not doing a good job, should he be considered on the basis of his past achievements not how he is faring at present??

If that is the criteria of supporting for the motion then I would say heart is ruling over head which is somehow unjustified…

  9. It’s ironic that Sean and blueface are berating each other for being ‘ignorent’, ‘zenophobic’ (does that mean a fear of Buddhism?) and having poor ‘grammer’, when all three words are spelt incorrectly

  10. To Pablo – don’t you remember ALL the seasons before last season? Even in his worst last season, we still made the Europa Cup SF. And the seasons before saw Liverpool ranked No. 1 in Europe after Champions League triumphs, one final and one semi-final – not to mention finishing a close second in the Premier League in his pre-last season and winning an FA Cup. All managers have an off-season, last season was Rafa’s. If only our owners had continued to support Rafa the way Arsenal and Man.U. support Wenger and Ferguson we would not be in the dire straits we find ourselves today but easily in the top-4 and, dare I say it, challenging for the Premier League title. Inter were over-hasty in getting rid of a manager who could have filled Mourinho’s boots given time. Bring Rafa back to Liverpool FC where he belongs. YNWA

  11. I have fond memories of what he achieved and his affinity with the fans was genuine … but in a season and a half since unwrapping a piece of paper to have a go at fergie he presided over a political battle of wills with the clowns running the club and the media and then suddenly left with £6m … I’m not adverse to him coming but it will be odd

  12. Spot on @mindal silkat ……..u should be a pundit……we need a positive manager with a postive attitude some1 who can inspire a person on benefits to get a job ……there aint that many managers out there with that sort of qualities

  13. I remember last season, it was 1 in 6 where everything went wrong for him and considering his overachievement prior to that one he deserved another season.

I’m not sure if I would have hiimn back right now considering how much of a Rafa fan I am, its difficult too bring someone back because even if his fans will love it, he will retain his enemies.

still stupid to let him go but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

  14. @Voland It’s all about making choices. For everyone from every perspective & you have 2 analyze from that perspective. And the question of ”conjecture” never arise at all..” what then if”

See, many critics of Jose says, he has been an opportunist. He joined Inter when he knew, they were the only force in Italy & he collected seria’s with ease. True yet false.

That’s his choice. The same reason reason why I have come to UK for higher studies & not back home in India?? Similarly, in case of Rafa, it was Pool’s choice to continue with him or not.. Similarly for the case of Wenger & Fergie. Now that decision/choice was right or wrong that’s a matter of great debate. There are both highs & lows.

Again, it was Rafa’s choice to fill the boots of Jose & Inter’s choice to get rid of him.. From Rafa’s point of view- he wanted 2 win more (read as continue the success of Inter) Inter’s point of view- he is not good enough so they parted.

The question is that amidst of all these, pool suffered one calamity season, & that slur is still ongoing.. the choices were made simply cz pool felt he has given his best (He himself said- I have taken the club to the extreme)& time to move on.. It’s a decision of the institution of which fans are also a major part.

    Bringing him back would mean:
    1) Nullifying the previous choice & that was crap decision
    2) Pool running out of ideas & serious doubts should be raised on the capability of the institution as a whole
    3) Criteria of choices are different for different people so no uniformity.

If still club feels the choice of Rafa’s return should be welcomed, I as fan, will embrace with arms wide open..

  15. rafa is best to come if he brings pacho with him, otherwise i don;t know how it can works again.they used to form a good duo !!!!!!

  16. Sean,

The fact is your post makes no sense, calling him a fat waiter isn’t racist however your post is juvenile at best. Jog on

  17. My name is Sean and I write my rants in crayon….. Oh dear

Moving on, I personally would take back rafa with open arms, I know people seem to forget the bad times and look at the good times (whilst last season was a blip, we DID annihilate man utd AND real Madrid, does that do nothing for him?) but he did make some unbelieveable substitutions that made most of us think, WTF is he doing?!?

Whilst not all the blame can be pushed onto the greedy yanks, we can look at what rafa had wanted with the players he has wished to bring in over the years, and now with the correct backing we can do that whilst at the same time also bring through the talent we know we have in the youth ranks

I’m no hater and I try to look at the world in an optimistic way but at the way things are going, 7th seems like a very good thing for us at the moment and as liverpool football club I’m disgusted that we should be in this position and not doing something about it!

  18. With the going ons in liverpool,i’ll rather let rafa come back than roy staying.i agree with roy when he said he inherited a poor squad but consider his shinings and his prospect then then i wonder if we can actually rise back. I prefer rafa to roy times 2

  19. it’s like some fans are not thinkin abt d players rememba d exit of Rafa led 2 d confessns of many playerse.gBabel.Benayoun abt d poor relatnship rafa has wit d playas.i can rememba Gerard reaxn in one of rafas match close2 his exit.rememba what happend btw him$Eto’o at inter.i tink rafa ain’t d best.he’ll always b close to epl he aint gona win it rememba 1 of d argument against him is dat hes only gud 4champs leag.$we all knw Barcas d king 4 dat now.trophys wat we want nt 2nd positn why go bak 2 ur VOMITUS.Lfc mov ahead y nt Rijkaard.passn style

  22. @Frozen

come on dude this isnt a text message!! I really want to read your points but because of my inability to mix letters with numbers I fail! Lol (look im doing it now!). good points…i think.

  23. @pdpartington, i think you’ll find the word is grammAr, since you’re in to correcting people!
don’t like the way you put it sean but i agree with you.rafa lost half the dressing room so why on earth would anyone want him back? do we really want to go back to the “as long as we don’t lose” philosophy? also, joey barton and craig bellamy wouldn’t fall out with as many people, the mega-arrogant benitez thinks he’s god’s gift to soccer but we all saw how he’s weaved his magic at the treble-winning european champions!

  24. Does anyone seriously believe we will win or qualify for anything with Hodgson in charge.
We have some world class footballers at Liverpool, who will all leave within the next 6 months if things don’t change. These months will be massive for our club. Get it wrong and we’ll all witness the demise of our beloved club and a true football giant. Something has got to change and quick.
Just think how long it will be before ever again we witness Liverpool in a European Cup Final. Maybe not in any of our lifetimes. All I can say is that we did it twice under Rafa and were unlucky not to have had a third.
Talk all you want but actions and results speak louder than words.

  25. @theycallmemrurt. Real y i knew somthin was wrong while inputin d text, tanx 4 pointin it out 4 me meanwhile i think it saves time dat way.i appreciate d fact dat u do appreciate my opinion and i also think u have just made me realize d fact dat i have a talent.i mean ability 2 combine letters and figures.lol

  26. Very short memories, lest we forget, Alonso had major role
in Cl win, made the final the following year, squad got smaller as
yanks refused to back Rafa, had to gamble on players for smaller
fees, how do you sustain challenge for league, still finished 2nd,
beat Barca and played Madrid off the park, Arbeloa had Messi in his
pocket, another Rafa signing. You weren’t complaining
    then!

  27. This is not a school lesson so stop moaning about
spelling.Rafa done ok but most of his signings were shite plus
alonso went cos of rafa and ever since we’ve been on the slippery
slope.Rafa nor hodgson are the right men and until we get a decent
    manager were going nowere.

  28. RAFA PLEASE COME BACK! FK OFF WOY!! If rafa wasn’t in liverpool, there won’t be TORRES, REINA, ALONSO !

    YNWA PLEASE COME BACK RAFA

  29. Merry xmas to one and all . I would like to point out that rafa was not sacked at liverpoolfc he made a compensation package as he has done at inter . As for some one mentioning his buys when you have to balance the books for tom and jerry to pay their 40 million plus debts every year so as not to sell the best players to pay this debt you find your hands tied and you bring in freebies and budget buys and try make a silk purse out of a pigs ear or sell on and make a profit then your not going to have the best of squads are you if the people who are making these remarks check out his buying and selling over the 6 years he was manager he actually only spent 70 million and 23 of that on nando thats just over 12 million per season so the man worked miricales to keep the club running on a shoe string as for Alonso ye he did see his bum but it was his choice to leave he was playing for liverpool fc who paid his wages rafa didnt and he was picked every week and we do not no the full story behind this only what we read in the press . Listen at this moment in time this club needs rafa and rafa needs this club with some negotiations we could all have the best of both worlds a world class manager who will nuckel down and concentrate on the football only and new owners who can give him the backing to do what fergie did to us back in the 90s when he knocked off are top spot and we have not been good enough to get it back since . I cant ever see roy taking us there can you being honest and not disrepectful to roy butr rafa scared the pants off fergie the year we finished second and he was glad to see the back of rafa when he went so lets start the new year with the right manager Rafa and lets get our titles back .albey

  30. @wolfman

Alonso had two good seasons out of five, his 1st and his last. That means the middle section of his Liverpool Career was non existent. After his poor display against chelsea in the quarter/semi final of the Champions league I wanted him out! He had flattered to deceive for three years yet Rafa kept faith in him. Xabi should have appreciated the fact that Rafa stayed loyal to him. He should have risen to the challenge (Which he did) and then return the faith and loyalty that was shown to him.

  31. @theycallmemrurt. Really wish 2 know what u mean by NEO in this context.feel free my friend.and if 4real you mean a new comer,i’ll advice u dont mix up my cool headed personality with my forum status.lol

  32. we already throw the rubbish. Why wanna pick the rubbish back???
    Go for new please…Frank Rijkaard!!

Rafa always likes to make problems with players exp: reira.benayoun & ext……

    He is problem manager.
    No rafa, Frank Rijkaard plssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!

  33. I agree with you Akash, we need Frank Rijkaad. Though am not against Rafa coming back but i think Frank can be better…
