It breaks my heart to watch all this happening. Even all my fellows who support other clubs have stopped pinching me now regarding Liverpool’s poor form……… because I have nothing to say NOW. Its all evident.
Liverpool used to be the Team of Big Games but now its nothing more than a mid table team just filling up fixtures in the premier league. And like its been said, no teams are afraid to come and play in Anfield.That Anfield which used to be a fortress of reds and that Anfield where the biggest of the European clubs stumbled every time they came in. That Anfield saw Liverpool lose to a third division Team in Carling Cup……that Anfield saw a small club like Blackpool to turn the tables around to beat Liverpool earlier…..that Anfield that saw Liverpool to be drag to its darkest pits by Wolves tonight. Anfield must be crying itself……..which once saw legends like Dalglish, Rush and the Mighty Shankly’s army !!!!!
I wont comment on Roy because with every game its becoming evident that he is not the man for the job. I read people talking shit about players. Well, honestly, the eleven on the field were far better than Blackpool Eleven or Wolves tonight but they lacked Conviction and Character. One thing i learned watching Football is that other than being a game of strength, its a game of Character. You might hate me for saying this thing but its a fact and i would quote it. Last season after a thrilling match between Manchester United and Manchester City ( 4-3) , a die heart supporter of City was asked what was his views on the game after he saw his team lose at Old Traford ,even after spending so much in the transfer window and after conceding a late late goal in stoppage time….his reply was simple ” We can buy players, we can buy world class players to build a world class team but we cannot buy a Winning Mentality which comes with character ”
These words throw a simple question before us. Who would Spark this fire in the players ? Well, we all know the answer. Someone who shows confidence and conviction in his players. The best thing about Shankly was that he treated Liverpool as a family and when someone stumbles in the family , he is not hushed up but backed up with courage and confidence.Roy accused Glen for his poor form , accused Agger and now Cole as well. This wont help !!!!
We need to pick up the pieces together. We need to be on our way to the Champions League…..we need to be strong and well, its never too late. My plead to all the Reds ( players and fans ) , Lets Propel a Wind of change not only in the field but in our hearts and let the World know we are Still The Best !!!!
