It is looking more likely that Liverpool will be signing Luis Suarez from Ajax if the clubs can agree on a price.
I will be honest to say that I was not very excited when I heard about him joining us due to his famous World Cup handball and then the biting incident. Without a doubt Luis is a quality striker and we could use him. If we sign him I hope that he will settle into the club and adopt the Liverpool way. Unfortunately in the past we have had players with shady past like Craig Bellamy and Jermaine Pennant who although were quality players ended up being a disappointment and that is why I am cautiously optimistic.
And then there is the neck biting accident, Luis bit Otman Bakkal’s neck during the PSV – Ajax game, looking at the video it is not as bad as the media made it seem.
And of course the famous World Cup hand ball which made him the most hated man in Africa however most players would have done the same thing.
