So What’s Next?

It’s officially February 1st here in New York and I have school in a few hours unless I’m snowed again. But the last week has been quite an experience and a very emotional one to say the least. We’ve all been tirelessly browsing the web for official news on anything related to Liverpool, anything. Now at the end of the transfer session and 2 days before the stoke game we know that Torres decided to take his talents to one of our rivals, we signed two very talented and young(and expensive) forwards and we kept our name held high in honor. How? Torres, one of the best forwards in the world who once said that he would not play for another English club decided to take back any character he had left and requested a transfer and what did we do? King Kenny came out and said that no one is bigger than the club and someone who thinks differently, is being stupid and irresponsible. It takes a man with character and integrity to teach it to us. In my humble opinion as a die hard fan of LFC, If we try to keep a player who doesn’t want to play for this beautiful club the he does not deserve to wear the jersey that still to this day is respected throughout the world. I don’t blame Torres for making this mistake he is human but It does hurt when a player says things that brings smiles to fans like us who have been through so much and then goes back on his word and why? Because he thinks he will win trophies at Chelsea and let’s be honest, he wants the money. I think I would of forgiven him if he had come out and apologized for some of the things he said and said exactly why he decided to leave Liverpool, then at least he would some respect from the fans. Some people will say, “He doesn’t have to answer to us” I say he does. Liverpool opened it’s arms and embraced him like another working class hero but he decides to belittle our beloved team
(maybe accidentally) in his first official interview with Chelsea. So what’s next? What’s next for the little girl in the youtube videos singing the Torres bounce? What’s next will be Glory and praise. We walk on and hold our heads up high and we won’t be afraid of the dark, at the end of the storm, there is a golden sky. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN we have 2 new young and fiery forwards who have been scoring machines in their teams and now they will BLEED RED like we do every single weekend. We will sing songs for them and they will WOW us with goals. King Kenny is back and with his guidance he will recreate that bastion of invincibility that our FOOTBALL FATHER started. My friends we are Liverpool and we will never walk alone.

  1. Players who don’t want to stay in Liverpool FC don’t deserve the club. And to Fernando “Judas” Torres, congrats! You’ll be walking alone. Let’s hope Carra won’t try to tackle him too badly come the next match. Lol.

  2. “I have school in a few hours unless I’m snowed again” For f**k sake, another kid! Do we only have school children writing here?

  4. Nothing will exite me more than to see Suares and Caroll take over the attention of Sunday’s match. My fellow buddy, your blog is touching but most importantly true. I’ll see you at the 11th street bar.
