Welcome Luis and Andy!

After what really was an intense  transfer deadline day with the likes of Konchesky going out on loan and some other squad member leaving, I think he was headed somewhere down South not quite sure where because the club is no where near the calibre of Liverpool. Amongst all of this we have managed to make two quality signings in Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.

We have signed two players who are proven goal scorers and will hopefully prove to be a deadly partnership in the front line for years to come. Both are young players who have bags of talent and enthusiasm. Over this season I have seen Carroll cause all sorts of problems in the Premier League and have also heard, seen and been told that Suarez is an absolutely amazing player.

This transfer window has been a step in the right direction for Liverpool Football Club. We have replenished our strike force and King Kenny and the owners have made a clear statement that the Liverpool way is still exactly the same as it has always been and we will work together. As Kenny said, ‘no one player is bigger than Liverpool Football Club’ and I cannot agree more. A lot of credit has to go to Kenny and the owners for putting down the money and showing we mean buissness and also to Kenny for the two players that he bought to strengthen our squad.

Finally, I would like to say goodbye to Torres. He served us well but all good things come to an end, shame he didn’t see sense in the end.

BUT, I can’t wait to see Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez pull that Red Shirt on for the first time and net many goals for us.

Lets look forward to the bright future we have and stick together.

YNWA, Hugh
