A new tally for the season

Posted by

Paul Merson, beloved by off licenses and feared by Gamblers Anonymous, has always struck an in-depth opinion on the football latest. By in-depth, I mean we would literally have to drill into that rock of a brain to see what the heck he is thinking to say such things. Before he said on Tuesday, “Paying 50 million for Messi would be a gamble” , we cannot argue with him there, he is after all the expert, Merson said something else.

“Torres will score more goals this season than Suarez and Carroll together”

Oh really Paul?

Let us see if that comes to be. Henceforth, I’ll be keeping a tally after each game to see who victors this statement. It will be interesting won’t it? I daresay Torres will score quite a few goals for the blues, provided he avoids any treacherous slippy grass surfaces and avoids twisting his leg. I know Chelsea are loaded rich, but after so many medical bills and leg replacements, you’ll be having stern conversations with bank managers.

The tally has begun. If our Luis’ goal stands from last night, I believe that makes Team Carroll-Suarez at 1?

Carroll-Saurez : 1 (subject to FA learning physics)
Torres : 0

In other news, our old friend Mascherano has gave another interview from the Barcelona bench. He gives the world his insight on Torres leaving the club, and especially, his manner on he did leave.

“I was not surprised about what happened with Fernando. When I left Liverpool, it looked as if I killed someone”

Of course you killed someone. You killed yourself. In the justification of your greedy heart you went off to Barcelona to let your arse conduct heat for everyone else who would be lodging on the sub bench.

“when the reality is that Liverpool didn’t show the interest in keeping us in the club.”

I’m sorry? What? If I remember correctly, Rafa did not say “Cherrio!” to yourself. I am positive he had extensive conversations with you about how you where in the teams future, and held a vital role. If ‘showing an interest’ is clinging to your leg and the airport begging you not to go, sorry mate, you are not bigger than this club, and never will be. You decided one day, I don’t want to play for this club anymore. Of course we are not going to stop you, only clubs like Manchester United would bloat a players wallet to make them stay and play for them.

“The most important players didn’t leave the club well.”

Xabi Alonso does not exactly have a death-threat hanging over his head? In fact, he has even popped over to see us play once in a while, where the heck have you been o’ devoted fucko? Ah yes, can’t let that plastic sufrace get cold now can we? Even in Spain? No, ah right then. Albert Reira left this club very well, it was a sound tactical operation to convince ANYONE to take the useless moany lump, but by god we did it. Did not leave well? It was a roaring success Masch a few to stage that parade for him, but it was worth it.

Either way, Masch has what he wants, we will wait for his next annual murmurings that are about Liverpool, and not Barcelona, yet again.

In conclusion, our new tally for the season, Carroll-Saurez v Torres has begun. Lets get it on.

  1. Also Roy (whatever we think of him) tried his best to keep Masch and Masch wouldn’t answer his phone. When he played the first match for us he played well and we appaulded him even though we knew he wanted out. Apparently his wife wanted to be in spanish speaking country so basically he is a pussy whipped bench warmer now! If i were married to a footballer (i am a woman) earning thousands, setting us up for life when he retires around 35 I certainly would not be moaning about a few years spent in a foreign country! She could have learnt english or hung around with the spanish players wives. Disgraceful that he can say LFC didn’t want him! Twat.

  2. mascherano a player who is not in the starting 11 for WESTHAM became a great player after coming to “LIVERPOOL”. After coming to LIVERPOOL only he became captian of ARGENTINA now he left LIVERPOOL for BARCA and there he is not even in starting 11 and talking about a club like LIVERPOOL. Mascherano for your information LIVERPOOL is BIGGER than BARCELONA. 5 TIMES MAN

  3. Keep in mind he said “Torres will score more goals this season than Suarez and Carroll together” I infer he is referring to the premier league so torres has 9 and suarez-carroll would have 12 total so far. His statement is somewhat ambiguous and cannot be accurately defined but no matter what I’m sure he’ll be proven wrong.

  4. Well said Chris . On the subject of Masch not much match time lots of bench time not getting the the adjulation he got at liverpool we were right he was wrong and he dont like that so he throws the boot in on a club that rescued him from the West ham stiffs gave him lots of money helped get him the captains job for Argentina got him noticed by Barcelona so all the rubbish he is spouting is making him look a tit pity that i really liked him when he played for us but hay ho let him get his Mrs to pull the splinters out of his arse of the Barcelona bench.

  5. It must be nice to be paid handsomely just to watch Messi score goals. Masch is definitely living the dream! Jackass…

  6. Reports from London suggest that one ‘John Terry’ has already ‘scored’ more often with Olalla than her spouse will for Chelsea this season.

Mascherano, who has the face of a criminal, will get accused of murder wherever he goes. Do they already sing your name at Barcelona, Masch? Just asking.

It’s kind of funny that those two of our former players who always thought they had to shout at the ref instead of concentrating on their own performance are not with the club any more. While they are both very good players, if they wish to perform, I was often critical of them both for their obvious stupidity, which might stem from their inflated egos.

Rich, your comment made me actually lol.

Other news: After Torres stated that it was destiny to play his first game for ‘big club’ Chelsea against us, one Sortiris Kyrgiakos is believed to see his personal destiny in making sure that Torres leaves the pitch on a stretcher next Sunday, just past 4 p.m..

  7. I’d just take no notice. Not worth the attention or the effort responding to.
Getting back to sunday- I have an idea. Stevie Gerrard man-marking el whino. That would be interesting. He’d shit his nappy.
I’m already looking at our new strikers and thinking back to when my dad used to take me to see Lfc as a child in the 70’s- Keegan/ Toshack. I cant wait to see Carroll and El Pistolero teaming up. The opposition will shit a brick.

  8. how does mr merson know torres is gona score more goals??
he must have a crystal ball that sees into the future then, does he?

pity he didnt use it to forsee his own life being pissed up against a wall….

  9. Tim, I so laughed at your comment. El Whino in particular haha. well said m8.
And yes, I do hope Stevie G marks his ass to pieces, and Carroll and the pistol will destroy every defence in the league.
    YNWA

  10. The ironic fact is that Carroll alone has scored more for Newcastle than our ex number nine has for us. LOL

I feel Liverpool are always unfairly criticised. When we tried to keep Masche, Messi told us to be humane and let him go.
(Is it wrong to keep players we want? As Arsenal did to Cesc, United did to Rooney and City did to Tevez?)

When we were selling the club, Harry at Spurs claimed the previous Yanks were not to blame.
(After all the debt they put on the club?)

When we let Roy go, Wenger and Ferguson hit out at us by claiming he should have been give more time.
(The results don’t lie, you guys.)

Finally, when we sold the ex number nine, Masche here insists it was club’s fault for not trying to keep him.
(These words coming from a player who refused to play for us to force the exit?)
