  1. Does anyone else get the feeling that we are in good hands? Henry and Co. really do seem to have one goal: reestablish Liverpool as the top team in England, if not the world. While FSG are still in it to make money, they understand that the best way to get money flowing into the club is with big signings, silverware, and a stadium with more capacity. They have long-term goals that should pave the way for a self-sustaining future, which is a necessity for any club to remain at the top. Being debt-free is a HUGE deal.

Man U are running an unsustainable amount of debt that is going to destroy the club and Abramovich and Mansour won’t be able to simply try to buy silverware if these new financial rules do what they are supposed to. The big clubs always seem to find a way around this stuff though. Remember Chelsea’s transfer ban? Yea…

The future is going to be Liverpool and Arsenal battling it out for top honors playing some beautiful football in the process. Man U will crumble under its debt and Chelsea and City won’t know what to do when they can’t afford their mega million signings. These are going to be good days to be a Red.

  2. Only worry in all this is making sure UEFA follow through on the financial rules they are talking about. I think assurances need to be obtained to make sure it happens. I can see the Chavs and Citeh continuing to spend silly money and then battling UEFA in the courts over this, in the mean time the world keeps turning. Not sure as fans how we ensure the promises are kept, let’s face it, would you trust a politican???

  3. By the way yes, it’s a great interview, Mr Henry fronts up on all the key things that matter without sounding corny the way Hicks managed to almost all the time.

  4. speaks well, does not shirk the harder questions, and has obviously done a great deal of homework into the ethos of liverpool football club. I was weary @ the fact we had new American owners, but after watching many of his interviews, i am warming toward mr Henry and his company. My favourite comment throughout the whole interview was that they are looking extra hard into thew redevelopment of anfield. I know things move on in the modern world and football is big business but Anfield, The kop – IT’S LIVERPOOL FC!
