… and what about N’gog?

Bloody hell. I’ve just spent the last 48 hours trying to make my homework. But haven’t succeeded.

Why, you may want to know. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you, but promise me you aren’t going to laugh or anything, okey?

As I was trying to say, for the last two days, I’ve been thinking on one thing, and one thing only.

David N’gog.

No, not in that way many of you proboblay think (shame on you!).

No, the French lad I expected so much from when he first arrived in Liverpool, the young but promising kid that had scored so much for both the French U16, U17 and U18 teams. Just so he could come here and become our fourth choice? Because you deep down inside know that thats what he is in Liverpool – a poor fourth choice?

That got me really thinking, what can we do about it? Well, to start off, I’ve never been a fan of N’gog. I think he looks so lazy on the pitch,  reminds me a lot of Berbatov in United – besides the scoring part. Because we all know that N’gog hasn’t found the goal in quite some time in Liverpool. Despite that, I don’t see the greatness in him. We say that “he had not have the best players to work with”, but c’mon – did Fowler from the beginning have the 10 top players beside him?

I mean, for gods sake, we have been giving him a lot of time to play this season and I havent been “wowed” yet. He just looks so lazy on the pitch, doesnt fight for the ball, doesnt show any kind of fighting spirit at all – I mean, compared to Suarez, which we have seen work his ass off for us, Ngog doesn’t do much on the pitch. And that is the least I expect from Ngog, besides goals and assists ….

With that said, I wanna show you guys this.

Mancs:  Berbatov, Rooney, Hernandez, Owen

Arsenal:  Van Persie, Chamakh, Walcott, Bendtner

City:  Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli, Jo

Spurs:  Van der Vaart, Crouch, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko

Chelsea:  Torres, Drogba, Anelka, Kalou

LFC:  Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt, Ngog

Yes, because despite of all the shit talk I’ve heard this season about LFC no longer being a member of the TOP 4 club, well, I got news for you. Our membership is like our spirit – it never ends.

But looking on that, it doesn’t look like we are allowed in the top 4 club anymore. Almost everyone of those other 4th strikers in the other teams, does it better then N’gog. It’s a shame really, that N’gog hasn’t grown to be tha player I thought he would be. Reminds me a lot of Babel – also a guy I thought would carry Liverpool on his shoulders if things were bad.

But a quality player always shows quality in those chances he gets, and maybe they have been few and not under the best circumstances – but as I said – quality player takes his chances.

So, what options do we have? The way I see it, we have three really diffrent options … And as always when I have to deal with a problem, I do a pros and cons list (Just like in the movies!)

… 1) Just let it be. No, I wasn’t aiming for the Beatles song, it’s just faith that that is really what one of the options are. Just let everything be as it is. Let N’gog develop in Liverpool, I mean after all, he is still quite young and he do have so good qualities, for example he sometimes do those channel runs that makes me catch my breath …

…2) Sell him. We can use that money, and to be fair, that 21 year old youngster still trying to become something, time is money and we can’t wait for ever, can we? Ngog is at the age now where he has got to be showing more, when does he stop being a kid with promise?

…3) Loan him out. Some possible clubs are Leeds, Forest, Swansea, but why not even Blackpool and score an alright deal with Charlie Adam when we are on it? And if we are lucky, N’gog devolps to bee a 3rd striker, and we could finally try to use a 4-3-3 on the pitch?

So, there you go. My personal favourite is number 3 – because it’s clearly a win-win situation for us. What do you guys think? Comment on this article, with a 1,2 or 3, and preferably make some kind of motavation on why you think like that – and we’ll see what LFC supporters all around the world think.
