Charlie Adam…..Blackpool’s ringmaster!

For those of you that were not fortunate enough to watch the Blackpool vs Spurs game this evening, you have no idea what you’ve missed!

The way Blackpool take on any team is something that’s overwhelmingly incredible. Truly a team that deserves to stay in the Premier League for all the positive, one touch incisive play that is well and truly incredible, especially taking into consideration what this team cost to assemble.

Charlie Adam! What to say? The 25 year old scot is the most pleasant surprise in the Premier League this season, bar none. Where the Reds right to chase him all through the January transfer window? Bloody right they were. Will the Reds continue their chase come next summer transfer window? Bloody right they will! I want to believe that Ian Holloway hung on to him not primarily to haggle for more money (even though he is believed to get a generous commission on all player sales he brought to Bloomfield Road, and Adam is one of them), but because the Blackpool captain is fundamental in the team’s fight to stay in the PL. Can you blame him? Course not! And let’s face it; with all these millions flying around, one cannot blame Blackpool wanting to capitalize on their best asset!

Back to the Blackpool vs Spurs game. After the first 45 minutes (47 actually) Blackpool were 2-0 up, mostly because unlike Spurs they capitalized on the chances that came their way. Blackpool’s defending could be described as heroic, while Spurs threw away chance after chance. In the second half Spurs threw Jenas, Kranjcar and Crouch into the fray and attempted a siege. Blackpool took on the onslaught, they were resilient, they were disciplined, and they got a third then Spurs pulled one back. Game over. Three points dropped by Spurs. What a game!

Well done Charlie Adam and Co! You’ve done the Reds a huge favour.
