The Daily Antoine: 28th Feb 2011 – Liverpool F.C. News update

Posted by

Our loss yesterday and Birmingham’s victory over Arsenal has made Europe a little more distant for us. The only way for us to qualify for European football is to finish in the top 5 or win the Europa league or hope that the FA Cup final is between two teams in the top 5 and we finish 6th.

Gutted about the result yesterday more…
(YNWA)

Kenny admits we deserved nothing more…
(Gutted for Martin Kelly)

John W Henry is very pleased with Kenny more…
(Who wouldn’t be?)

The Mirror claims that Kenny will be handed a 2 year contract more…
(Only 2 years?)

According to the Express Andy Carroll was told to lose weight more…
(Where do they come up with this stuff?)

And still more talk on N’Zogbia more…
(This has been going on for a while now)

And Christian Poulsen leaving? more…
(It will not surprise me)

And finally in case you missed it Ashley Cole goes Dick Cheney more…
(Nice!!)

  1. Socrates phrased it well, that hunger is the best sauce for food. Only the paranoid survive (Bill Gates), and only the hungry eat. We were not hungry enough yesterday, whatever pretext we want to give. It could be Europa-related fatigue, injuries or just loss of form.

West Ham played a blinder, with their engine, Scott Parker outstanding. They hardly put a foot wrong and it’s tribute to our bogey manager, Grant, that his team was set up to pick a very deserved three points.

It’s back to the drawing board now for us. We need to pick ourselves up and salvage whatever we can. This season was always a write off but no one really knows how anything will turn out (just ask pre-Carling Cup overconfident Gunner fans).

Pain like we experienced at least revealed areas of much needed improvement. I see a massive clear out come summer and Kenny finally having a team in his image.

Once more kudos to the Irons. Next up is MUFC’s visit.
