One King and One King Only

We were in despair. We were tired of derision. This was suppose to be our season, our chance to show the world. But instead of going forward, we took huge step backwards.

We wanted nothing more than that the season would end. Start over again. Back to square one. For we were tired of 12th place, 16th place sometimes. It got worse. The owners screwed up, destroyed more than those favored. Ruined our beloved club, from the roots and up to the tree crown. We were ruined. Empty pockets. It brightened a while, only to be even bleaker.

We lose a player many of us looked up to. A player we thought were red, through and through. A real scouser. A man who loved us, the team and city. But modern football does not allow such love anymore. The charity gives no trophy to put in the prize cupboard. So he left us and sprinkled salt in the wounds with his statements. Now I don’t give a shit anymore, and honestly, can not be more happy that he left.

As a miracle from above, as an answer to all our prayers comes a man who can come to be known as the man that saved the club. If Bill Shankly is known to have put the club on the football map, and Roy Hodgson known to have removed the club from the same map, so is King Kenny Dalglish the man, myth and legend who will do anything to get us back where we belong. Number one in the world.

And having just turned 60, we can only have hope that he sticks around for a while. The Scot who once wore No. 7 in the club.

Congratulations King and thank you for being the only man on earth that made me smile those last months. All love to you. To the only king in the world that deserves the title. King Kenny Dalglish.
