  1. As someone who lives out in Korea, I am proper gutted that this match has been cancelled. Not due to the fact I’d miss it, I’m flying home for a couple of months next week and would have missed it anyway, but the boost it would give the club out here would be immense. (My Liverpool supporting mates who would have gone to it however are livid).

There are precious few Korean Liverpool fans out here. All but one I know are Man United fans. The extra money in shirt sales would have been quite a lot on its own.

This match fixing that has been going on has rocked the K-League – even though most Koreans don’t watch it, it has still made headline news, when football doesn’t get much air time at all. 4 games of baseball on the TV and not one game of K-League on at all most Saturdays. Some goalkeeper has already hanged himself due to being caught up in it. The team my team plays against on Saturday has had 10 players arrested from them, and the entire backroom staff have resigned beacuse of the allegations.

Fortunatly, I live in a place called Daegu. Finished 15th out of 15 for the past two seasons. So, I doubt any of our players were involved in it!!
