We need to be where we belong; UCL

Looking back to the past he (Roberto Martinez) would be only the second Spaniard (if he accepts the offer) to manage Liverpool FC. First it was Rafa Benitez and he ended up with 4 silverware and 2 UCL Finals (winner 2005 and runner-up 2007). Though he managed to win 55 percent of the matches played, the owners decided to sack him. In my opinion there are some good reasons Liverpool owners sacked him. One of the mistakes he made was selling Xabi to Real Madrid.

Though the sale made £30 million profit, we lost the best Midfielder in BPL. And then he jumped out of the frying pan into the fire buying the Liverpool flop Alberto Aquilani. His policy of “sell to buy” made him sack as the club’s debt rose higher than ever. In his final year Liverpool had to face the worst run in 22 years. I think that’s what happened to King Kenny who came up after Roy.

And here came the second Spaniard. We expect nothing but the best for the team. He might have a bad start with Wigan but we saw that he gave a remarkable try and defeated Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool to win the manager of the month (April). We just need to be where we belong; UEFA Champions League. That’s what Liverpool is made for, to win.
