Because Steve there are two other young people in defense, you need that defense to be bulked up with people with plenty of experience, i.e Carragher and Agger. And to be honest either way you look at it, Carragher is a better defender than Coates any day.

I think Hendo had a good game. Cant say the same about Spearing. I’m not a big fan of Spearing, but at a minimum, he needs to go out on loan for the season to get some playing time.
Allen played great, and seemed to settle the troops once he got on the pitch.

I think he will be playing Coates on Sunday against Mancity that’s why he is not playing today. No way can Carragher play against the forwards of City. Let’s hope this is the case.
