How Could We Handle City And Chelsea At Anfield?

After the thrashing of Arsenal and Everton at Anfield this season, and the 1-0 victory over Man United, could we keep this unbeaten record against the top teams at Anfield by getting something out of City and Chelsea later in April?

These two games will be tough. Chelsea with Jose Mourinho who knows how to handle the pressure in big games. Man City, who have squad depth and quality over the pitch, apart from defence…

So, Do we take the same approach of attacking with real pace and intensity like we did against Arsenal and Everton against these two main title contenders?

Starting off with City, there defence would be ripped apart like Arsenals and Evertons if we attack them with pace, there defence is their weak link and we could easily exploit it. I expect a win against City!

Chelsea will be tougher, Mourinho knows how to handle the big games. Whether he will go for it against us or defend more, I’m not sure. There defence with players like Matic and Luiz in holding midfield will be hard to break down. Chelsea will most likely be our most challenging test at Anfield, but im expecting us to come out with a point!

Saying that, the crowd and atmosphere has been amazing this season, The Kop could easily distract and get into Chelsea and Man City’s head!

Man City’s attack, with Navas, Negredo, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Silva, Nasri, etc, will we be able to defend the mixture of strength, power and pace?

Chelsea’s squad is balanced all over, they have a solid defence with Ivanovic, Cole, Cahill and terry. Their CM’s are strong and not an easy pushover with Matic and Luiz! But, their three attacking midfielders in Hazard, Oscar and Willian are amazing! Either Eto, Torres or Ba shouldn’t cause too much of a threat.
