The good the bad and the Balotelli

Mario Balotelli is on everyones mind and no wonder, in the last 48 hours the news of the Italian power house came out of no where and with the ability and the “craziness” of the striker Liverpool fans seem both excited and worried. The 24 year old Italian was actually born in Ghana and moved over to Italy when he was 2. He was then placed into foster care when he was 3 and he remained with the family all his life and officially changed his name from Barwuah to Balotelli. The fee of £16 million was officially made public by his agent who went on to say that: “it is make or break now, If it goes wrong Mario is 24 years old, he no longer has the alibi of his age.” He also went on to say the negotiations
have been going on for over 3 months.

Balotelli was met by fans screaming his name and one fan doing the new ice bucket challenge trend with the words “Why always me” drawn in marker on his chest. The 24 year old striker spend several minutes signing autographs for the younge fans. Sky sports have reported that Balotelli have given Liverpool guarantees over his behaviour. Other reports have stated that Mario could lose 2 million a year if he misbehaves for Liverpool. We have been linked with marquee signings all summer and now it seems we have him and for a lot less than most Kopites expected to pay.

Super Mario will not be able to be selected to play on Monday night even if the transfer is made in time. We may see the likes of Alberto Moreno and Emre Can make their premier league debut. The German midfielder has already spoken about this seasons campaign saying “In the premier league, there are a lot of big beasts, I am also one of them so I am going to give it my best.” Emre Can on the left is one of the favorites to start at the weekend after a lot of criticism has come Brendan Rodgers way after playing Lucas Leiva and Steven Gerrard in the holding midfield position against Southampton.

My Thoughts

I believe our summer signings have been pleasing when you see thy sky sports are reporting that Di-Maria may be sold for around 75million (possible to Manchester untied.) and we have avoided big money signing that may not work out but done sensible business is the way of getting a rounded squad. Replacing a fall backs was essential to this transfer window and now I believe we have successfully done this. Balotelli will be a risk but he has never worked with a manager like Brendan Rodgers before and I believe he can bring the best out of him, with the price we are paying for him I think it is defiantly worth the gamble.

I am most looking forward to seeing Emre Can play on the premier league because he is the signing that has impressed me most in the pre season.

Markovic looks excited but mainly through YouTube vides so I will enjoy seeing him play in competitive matches.

I believe Liverpool will have a strong campaign but I believe Mario Balotelli performances will be critical to it. Let’s just hope they are positive.

Please let me know your thoughts.
