Raheem Sterling transfer: Real Madrid maintain their interest in Liverpool star…

Liverpool face a fight to keep Raheem Sterling out of the clutches of Real Madrid, who have reportedly made the teenager their number one transfer target for the coming months.

Reports in Spain explain that while a move is far from imminent, the Spanish giants are determined to bring him to the Bernabeu at some point in the future due to his tremendous potential.

The 19-year-old England international has fast become regarded as one of the best young players in the world in recent times, and has also attracted rumoured interest from the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain as he continues to hold talks over signing a new contract at Anfield.

It is widely expected that Sterling will renew his deal with the Merseyside giants and reject the advances from Real for the moment, but the European Champions are  known for spending huge amounts of money on bringing in their top targets, and such an offer could leave Liverpool with little choice but to sell.

Madrid have broken the world transfer record several times in recent years, with the signings of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009 and Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur last year.

Sterling looks like becoming ‘Galactico’ quality, and the La Liga table-toppers are keeping tabs on his situation as he continues to establish himself at Liverpool, even if his immediate future looks set to remain at Anfield.
