Liverpool again linked to £15m rated Saido Berahino in the English press

Would we want the Baggies forward…?

Talented English striker Saido Berahino is the latest striker linked to Liverpool as a potential January transfer target, reports the Mirror.

The 21-year-old is currently the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League, having notched seven goals so far in 11 top flight appearances in 2014/15.

His form earned him a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s international squad, and the attention of some of the country’s biggest clubs.

Tottenham and Manchester United are also rumoured to be interested in Berahino, who prides himself on his pace, energy and enthusiasm around the box.

The Baggies have insisted they won’t sell, and despite these reports, a £15m bid would unlikely tempt them to do business this January.

Hopefully before the new year our current crop of strikers will have found their goalscoring boots. With Daniel Sturridge injured, Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert need to start firing us back up the table – having so far failed to bag a top flight goal this term.
