French powerhouse fit again…
French centre-half Mamadou Sakho has returned to full training following his thigh injury.
The 24-year-old hasn’t played since late September, where he was part of the side that beat Middlesbrough on penalties in the League Cup.
In his absence, Dejan Lovren (in particular) and Martin Skrtel have badly struggled, and the pair have put in a number of below-par defensive performances.
Sakho is unlikely to start against Ludogorets in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, but could be in contention for a place in the side at home to Stoke City next weekend – with most fans likely to agree that he should replace Lovren at the back.
