Ambitious transfer rumour… Isco linked to Liverpool & Arsenal for £64m

Bold reports claim monster transfer possible…

The Express reckons that Liverpool and Arsenal are leading the chase for Isco, after being told by Real Madrid that he’s available for £64m…

Isco recently performed sublimely versus Liverpool in two Champions League matches, leaving fans over Europe purring over his exceptional technical ability.

The story is based mainly on Isco’s rumoured £64m release clause, rather than any direct interaction between the clubs as the Express claims.

Because Real Madrid (who’ve won 15 matches on the trot, by the way) are potentially interested in Bayern Munich’s David Alaba and Cruzeiro’s Lucas Romero, they could be willing to offload Isco provided a monster bid arrives, so says the story…

If that reasoning wasn’t tenuous enough, Alaba is a left-back, and Romero is a holding midfielder – while Isco is of course one of the most impressive playmakers in Europe right now.

Real Madrid surely have no reason to sell the 22-year-old midfielder, who – despite competing with the likes of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez for a starting spot – is more than holding his own at the Bernabeu.

In all likelihood, he will be with Real for years to come, although if a transfer to Liverpool was somehow pulled off – it would go down as one of the most exciting, and easily the most expensive in our history.
