Tomorrow sees another iteration of the famous Liverpool- Man United derby, so today we’re looking back at some of our most memorable victories over the Red Devils.

10. Liverpool 3-1 Man United – March 2011
A newly arrived Luiz Suarez assisted the first goal of Dirk Kuyt’s hatrick with a mazy run into the box, our first real taste of the Uruguayan striker’s incredible skill.
9. Man United 1-2 Liverpool – March 1990
A sweet victory over our old rivals as we closed in on our 18th league title, courtesy of a brace from John Barnes.
8. Man United 0-3 Liverpool – December 1978
Boxing day matches are always special, and this was no exception. Ray Kennedy, Jimmy Case and David Fairclough scored as Paisley’s side won a comprehensive away victory.
7. Man United 0-1 Liverpool – December 2000
Ten years of waiting for an Old Trafford win were finally ended by Danny Murphy. The midfielder coolly placed a free kick into the side netting to set us on our way to victory.
6. Liverpool 3 – 0 Manchester United – April 1964
The 17-year wait for a league title was to finally end after this comprehensive victory over United. Ian Callaghan and a brace from Alf Arrowsmith made it a comfortable stroll to victory.
5. Liverpool 2-0 Man United – March 2003
Goals from Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen stunned the Red Devils and won us another trophy at the Millennium stadium, this time the Worthington Cup. Gerrard’s deflected strike and Owen’s strike on the counter helped us to our last trophy under Gerard Houllier.
4. Liverpool 2-1 Man United – March 1983
United took the lead, but goals from Alan Kennedy and Ronnie Whelan turned the game around. Bob Paisley was about to end his spell as manager, and he went up first to collect the League Cup after another glorious victory over our rivals.
3. Liverpool 4-0 Man United – September 1990
United were comprehensively beaten in front of a delighted Anfield, with Peter Beardsley stealing the show with an impressive hat-trick. John Barnes also netted as the Reds won their biggest victory over United for 65 years.
2. Man United 1-4 Liverpool – March 2009
Things didn’t look good for Rafa’s side after Cristiano Ronaldo gave United the lead, but a spirited fightback saw Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard turn things around. Andrea Dossena and Fabio Aurelio also chipped in to complete the rout.
1. Man United 0-3 Liverpool March 2014
You only have to look back to March for our finest win over United. We arrived at Old Trafford on a five game winning streak, and wasted no time in extending that run. A feeble United side were played off the park by our fired-up side, Steven Gerrard scoring twice before Luis Suarez wrapped up the win.
