Jordon Ibe proved why he’s one to watch with a dazzling cameo against Chelsea…
Liverpool’s Jordon Ibe proved just why us fans are so excited about him on Tuesday, and why we’re desperate to see him back in a red shirt. The 19-year-old shone in Derby’s League Cup win against Chelsea, as can be seen below:
So how far can he go at Anfield?
On Tuesday, coming on at 2-0 down wearing number 44, he made an immediate impact, causing Chelsea problems down the left and playing a key role in his team’s goal, bursting into the area and causing a hurried clearance, which was eventually fired in.
Watch at the two minute mark in the video, as Ibe sprints away from Cesar Azpilicueta and sends Branislav Ivanovic sprawling to the ground before eventually winning a corner.
Quick with his feet and composed in possession, the teenager is very much in the Raheem Sterling mould, and Liverpool fans will no doubt be desperate to see more of him next season.
He has made two Premier League appearances thus far, since joining from Wycombe in 2012, and played a key role in securing Birmingham City’s Championship safety last season.
